This i think was a special song for Army before going to military service, he used to do live sessions for fans where he freestyle danced and it was called On The Street, so the lyrics i believe were saying I'll be with you. The dancing showed his journey, he started underground dancing to JCole and by the end of the video they are both on the roof, stars in their own right

Like someone mentioned before, yes this song was released as a gift to ARMY before he went into the military. It’s a reflection of his life - listening to hip hop, being in a street dance crew “Neuron” as a teen, and working with his musical hero J Cole. He actually had another verse from himself but once he listened to J Cole’s verse he decided not to cut it because it was too good. He does have a solo version on his EP “Hope On The Street” which was heavily inspired by his street dance days.

JHope wrote this song for his idol, his hero. Who used to dance to when he was young. There is a reason his name is Jhope, and one of his albums is called Hope World. This was shot on Cortlandt Alley in NYC, where JCole shot his video Simba years ago. The rooftop is in Brooklyn near Biggie's statue, and Jhope takes the JZ line to get there. This is all homage to 80s and 90s East Coast Hip Hop. I love it because it's a throwback to a different time. Jermaine has always been one of my favorites. 😘💜🫰🏻🫶🏻 Hoola hooping means something different in jail. Whether or not he meant the slang, I don't know 😂😂😂

Thank you for reacting. I hope you'll react to more of J Hope. Neuron, 2022 Lollapalooza (long but a must see), and Airplane. Also rap line UGH (boxing ring) or Outro Tear at Wembley for more aggressive rapping. J Hope was not a rapper when he joined BTS. He learned to rap with the help of RM and Suga. J Hope was a well know dancer though before joining BTS. He used to dance to J Cole's music when he was a teenager, that is why he is dancing. He is a huge J Cole fan and a very diverse, talented artist. He just returned from the military last week.

Thank you for your reaction I really appreciate your honesty the significance of the dancing is actually really he wasn't a rapper to start he was a champion street dancer hints on the street and j Cole is one of his big idols. It was a dream of dreams for jhopes to work with him in if you didn't know reason he was dancing while jcole who is dancing rapping that's because that's what he used to do as a kid. oh and if you didn't know he also has a solo version of this song it is also awesome it's in Korean but the subtitles on their official KZbin channel are almost always correct it's very rarely that they make a mistake so I wouldn't be worried about the translation not being right. there of course there are nuances in Korean the Americans may not understand but the subtitles are correct. most of the time to be honest when I first heard this song I thought j Cole verse I got a friend smart as - but hes stupid as hell could have been about RM because he's a genius who doesn't tend to believe in religion but that's probably not it because even if j Cole probably wrote on his verse on his own but RM was the first person that came to mind

Since you watched this you really need to check out Born Singer Proof Live. The rap line of BTS put in their own lyrics using J Cole’s Born Sinner. It is funny though that it’s still a culture shock when bts members go so hard while singing/rapping, I’m so used to it that I forget some people would be like “wait-“ 😂

Definitely agree with this, I think I'm more used to it as well because I've been into kpop for a decent amount of time, but I do get shocked by the stamina and control it takes to rap and dance certain things simultaneously 😅🥰😁💜💜💜💜💜
@goreyfantod5213Ай бұрын
@@YahYah06 The funny thing is, I think it's a bit easier to rap while dancing than to sing while dancing. Either one takes absurd stamina & breath control (well, and talent, of course), but the need for a singer to sustain the connected notes of a melody (legato), makes it harder to time with the footfalls & movement of dancing to Hip Hop. It's funny to me because Hip Hop puts out that goofy, manly=no dancing BS, because it falls for the whole anti-LGBT lie that equates a man dancing with being feminine, i.e. gay. Thing is, what's more gay, a rapper on stage with his all-male crew, repeatedly telling you how manly he is, or a man who can dance & sing your wife/girlfriend away? Seems like a straight man who's interested in women would try & find out what women like & emulate it, not put it down...
