My Dad Was Released from Prison...

This is something that has been bugging me for the past day so I need to take a moment to be transparent to you all and vent a bit. My Dad did some things in the past and was sitting in prison until the other day. He is currently on monitored release and should be back close to home soon. Thanks for listening just wanted to get this in the air as that is how I deal with things.

Jesus man, I feel humbled as a viewer that you would open your life to us. I can't tell you exavtly what you should do, but I cant tell you a story of my own life. My own dad grew up in Brooklyn, NY. His dad was a "player" who just knocked up women and took off. So my dad never knew him growing up. It wasn't until my dad was already a man that his dad wanted to connect. He tried, and he never showed up. It wasn't until my dad married my now mother that he tried again per her request. He tried to reconnect, but his dad was once again, a no show. That day was the last straw for my dad, and he is no longer a part of his life. He found out that despite all thos years, he never changed. He instead learned from it and raised my sister and I. What does this story mean? My dad tried reconnecting to see how things were before he made a decision. Now I dont knownthe details of your situation, but hopefully you can take something away from my story

I hear stories like this and I don't realize how lucky I am to have parents who love each other and love me. They have always been there when I needed them, but I never really think about the people who don't have their parents there for them. Whether their parents are in jail, are alcoholics, abusers, drug addicts, or just neglect them. It's sad to see. Prestige, you can definitely get through this. You did it when you were younger, so what's to say you can't get through it again. Know that your subscribers are there if you need them. We are your second family.

I myself grew up with a drunk father who would verbally abuse my mother and borderline physically abuse her. When my mom filed for divorce she was able to obtain soul custody, for a while. My father attempted to quick drinking for a while and began to obtain visitation rights. However, this did not go over well and it ended with my father throwing a printer at my mom and missing. My mother called the police but he escaped and crossed over from Canada to the US and the police couldn't catch him. My mom never pressed charges and my dad quit drinking for ever and despite my mother's best efforts, my father regained joint custody. My father does not drink but he is still an angry asshole and because I am sixteen, I do not have to live with him anymore and I will not very soon. That is my story and compared to Prestige, my life is a walk in the park. I am not trying to get attention but to let others know that you are not alone. I hope that Prestige is able to get through this without any problems. Love ur vids man.,

Having been through and still struggling with things like suicide, and having been in a physiatric ward myself, as much as I can't defend your dad for the things he did, I can see why he did.. When I was at my lowest Ide lost all emotion and care for everything, and if I ever had any it was for the people closest to me.. I can understand him not having to motivation to work but wanting to do exciting things with you, and banks are easy money I guess.. Hey dude, sad story, something similar happened to me except it was my uncle but it was a similar situation to yours, I spent a ton of time with him and he ended up getting arrested because he had robbed 3 convenience stores and then he ended up turning himself in, he only had to serve 10 years, I just saw him a few months ago and he was a changed man, I now see him every weekend and we spend a lot time together and he doesn't seem to be having these issues anymore that he had before he went in... I just wanna give you the advice to do what's in your heart. I would recommend trying to reconnect with him like I did my uncle. As I always like to say, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take" I personally think you should make an attempt and try to reconnect to him... I feel like he would have changed by now man. If you feel that it is something that you would regret not doing (later in life), then MEET him. Even if it's only one time. I'm sure it will be quite evident whether he wants to be a part of your life or not. Do not tell him about your income. Let him know you're comfortable with where you're at - this will avoid some chance of him trying to hurt you (emotionally) by taking advantage of you for your money. Second chances come rare and you have the chance to give one to someone. You do not want to be left wondering "what if..." etc. It's better to know, than wonder. Even with a chance of you getting emotionally hurt.

Hey prestige, I've never experienced what you've been through but I know how you feel, and I'd really like to give you some Advice. What I would do is take ur dad in small doses. Meaning don't get super close to him yet, maybe go out to lunch with him and see what he's all about. This way you can see if he has changed or not. If so you would probably realize it and probably spent more Time with him and boom, things are good. But let's say he does what to "hurt you" that's when the small dose thing comes in handy, because doing this means he won't get close enough to hurt you. This may be a little confusing but I'll sum it up. Go to lunch with him, see what he's all about now. If you think he's better, keep taking him in small doses, if not, then you don't ever have to talk to him. Hope I helped man love ya❤️

My dad left me when I was 5 and my mum left when I was 8. I'm currently 17 turning 18 in Dec 15 and ever since the age of 8 I've been living with my grandparents. I could literally spend hours telling you my whole story from then to now but its just so much and so devastating to me and it would honestly take way too long. a similar thing has happened to me, my mum and dad split up i only see my dad on the weekends,he hasnt robbed any banks or commited self harm or crime of any sort but it still is upsetting about my parents situation. your video has helped me alot and i really appreciate it. keep up the good work :)
