I do my sislocs the same way!!! I use a dropper which makes it easier for me not to use to much oil and gets right on the scalp!!!

Love your hair. Trying to be patient with my hair but I seem to keep running into issues with build-up. How are you able to avoid that? And do you run into issues with lint currently? I saw one video where you said you didn't but I wondered if that changed at all. Thanks :)

Sooo....erm i got a bit happy with the easy care and low cost of all things Sisterlocks (after installation)...No moisturising and I'm nearly 2 years in, to be honest I would only oil my scalp on wash days when it was natural...but I definitely wash more frequently now but not a single drop of oil/grease....I'm going to dry a deep conditioner as in your video I just washed...its coloured like yours too so it maybe some moisture will be good but their not stiff or crunchy or dry...lol maybe o should ask someone else their opinion of my hair lol I dye it once a year...I'm up to 14 months no dye and literally wash and go, not even conditioner. Getting it retightening tomorrow, shoulder dislocation has left me unable to self retighten so now I really dont want to spend any money but I'll see what she thinks of my hair condition tomorrow lol

how about using same natural hair products that worked well with your hair before sisterlocks?

I say use what works best for you! Just stay away from products that would cause slippage if you're still in the early stage of your locing process and you want your locs to loc as quickly as they can. Added product = more possibility for slippage, longer locing time. But if your locs are fully loced, just stay away from products that may cause product build up. Other than that, use what you'd like for your mature locs!

Hi love! That's totally normal. You shouldn't let your locs grow out too much in between retightens or else you risk thinning out your locs/hindering the integrity of your locs! Rarely. I'll do a deep conditioning treatment bi-annually. But i can only do that because my locs are fully loced and mature (13 years loced now). I don't recommend doing any such treatment on newer locs/locs that aren't yet loced!
