The question is not so much about how much it reduces the decibels in the same room, but rather whether the sound is transmitted through the wall to the neighbors. Therefore, if the dartboard is more separated from the wall, the difference for the neighbors is like night and day.
@MatadorDarts4 ай бұрын
What I've noticed with the wispa is that the best effect is playing without the surround. The sound from the board travels through the surround, onto the system and then into the wall. So although it is quieter in other rooms if people say they can still hear it late at night etc. just take the surround off

My neiebour could hear darts on normally mounted board throughout his entire house. With wispa he hears nothing in the next room exactly the same as a stand that i was having to use. I used a decibel meter on my phone placed 2 rooms away. The darts could clearly be heard on the wall but absolutely no response from the decibel meter. In the room directly behind the darts on the wispa could still just be heard as a gentle tick. Compared to the normaly mounted it was over 75 percent quieter. Same result as using a stand. I have given my stand away and can play at night.

@kyleleslie4806 you personally thinking it means nothing compared to all my experience and testing. Etc with documented results. @matt-ir1xq29 күн бұрын
im interested in the keralla as i dont want to drill that many holes in my wall. my board is on the opposite side of the house to the parting wall but it is only a 1 room width house so the room is directly next to their room albeit on the outside wall. theyve never complained directly but sometimes when i play i hear pretty deliberate banging from them to tell me to stfu. i often hear banging from them which im sure they dont think id be able to hear but can so i imagine they can pretty clearly hear the thud even if its on the outside wall. Really want a solution but do not like the so many holes and wobble of this system.

About 4-5 months ago I decided to move my setup from the other side of my room next to my neibours wall but not on my neibours wall. I started playing at about 10 o’clock at night and played for about an hour. The next morning I got up and started playing again and then I heard a knock at the door. The old prick from next door was standing at the door questioning the tapping/ banging noise which he could hear that was “driving him nuts”. He Reckoned it was disrupting his and his wife’s sleep and they were struggling to sleep with the sound of the darts. I had to get a wispa which cost about 80quid and I assumed this had solved the problem so I started playing again. But I was wrong it hadn’t solved to problem I was still getting complaints so once again I had to move the board to a different wall.

Maybe that's true. However, I don't see the point in minimizing the volume in your own room. The product was developed to not disturb the neighbors, as described on the official website. So this video is pretty pointless for me, when you mesure the volume right above the dartboard.

If you notice the back of the board, there's a bunch of different holes of different colours, and you just rotate to a new colour and put the mounts into the matching colour and hang it up.
