The Lagecy connection option is no longer available in Tableau. I tried to link my excel sheet with this option, but it did no pop up. Then when I googled why, I found out the newer versions no longer have this feature. Any alternatives?

Yes unfortunately they phased that out! Custom SQL is now only available with database connections. If you were looking to use Custom SQL to improve performance, could an extract do the trick instead? (help.tableau.com/current/pro/desktop/en-us/extracting_data.htm)
