On one of the first dates I had with my current BF I invited him over for dinner and asked if he wanted to help cook. He was SUPER shy in the beginning so I assumed he didn't know his way around the kitchen, so I began telling him how to measure the ingredients, etc. Little did I know, he was a freaking master cook and was playing along as if he didn't know what to do the ENTIRE time! I was so embarrassed when I found out he could cook! We've been together now for 4 incredible years! I've cooked for him less than handful of times since. LOL

Hey Andrew - Stu here. I'm a gay Canadian doctor, recent grad, sort of same stage of my career as you, and just moved to Australia. I've been asked a few times about using social media to connect with patients in my practice. And of course have once or twice already run into the situation that you have were you find yourself inadvertently sort of 'twitterpated' with a very attractive patient. Then after they leave you pull yourself together and realize you were letting your professionalism slip. I have to say you have guts talking about how you dealt with that so openly on social media. My work environment isn't homophobic in the slightest but at the same time it's not really a subject you can broach with your nursing staff or your colleagues. Props to you.

I wasn't going to do this but I decided that I will only to say that your video or videos really cheered me up from such a rough week I've had. One of my closest friends who is gay and had emotional issues was gunned down by the Royal Canadian mounted police on June 14th here in Nanaimo BC Canada. . Four days later I lost my wallet with all my ID and credit cards. His parents were 3000 miles away so I had to contact all his friends to tell them of his demise. The memorial was yesterday and people from all over Canada and United States showed up in support of him. He worked in Seattle, Denver, and Japan and of course here in Canada. There were so many wonderful things that I found out about him that I didn't even know from the people that hired him. He was an extremely talented carpenter, artist, singer, guitarist, and all around generous guy who was always there for everybody. I met him working on a job 5 years ago by a guy named Andrew who was renovating a house he had just bought. We became fast friends and worked many jobs together. I am a painter. .He had drawn up plans to build a suite on top of my garage and I was excited to start it with him. I will miss him dearly. May you rest in peace Craig Andrew Ford. Thank you for your vids Andrew ... you put a smile on my face.

Is dating dead?? Not sure if it's the area I live in, or no men I encounter want an actual date. All they say is let's "hang out". No. I want a date. Not a casual hookup, not where we hang out with others or anything like that. A date, Take me out to dinner, ok, maybe a movie too. Conversation, eye contact. And maybe some kissing goodnight.
@gymnastix8 жыл бұрын
Too bad I am not healthier and younger, as I would still go out on a date.. But, alas, now in my 50s (and in failing health) I am smart enough to know that part of my life is over. I also know most men with homosexual proclivity are not interested in men over about the age of 30 or 35 years old, unless they are themselves in that age range (and even then, not usually interested in same-age or older males). So-called "gay" men are even more repulsed by older males than in heterosexual society. When a younger male is in a relationship with an appreciably older male, chances are very good the older male is paying for services rendered. But the same is also true in heterosexual relationships, albeit with slightly different dynamics, sometimes known as "gold-digging." And nowadays, with this trendy phenomenon called "cougars," I am betting more older women are even paying to keep younger men. But let's not confuse "hired hands" with love and romance. It has been traditionally acceptable for women to marry much older men. And certainly by the second and succeeding marriages, women are not as motivated by love and romance as by the bank account. And men wealthy enough to afford them (hello, Donald Trump, Republican presidential nominee-presumptive) have no problem paying for these so-called "trophy wives," which is just a higher caliber way of saying "whores." When Jacqueline Kennedy married billionaire shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, that marriage was certainly not based on love and physical attraction on the part of the former First Lady of the 35th president of the United States. But in so-called "polite circles" it was not proper to call Jacqueline Kennedy out for what she was--a gold-digging whore. Also, the fact Mrs. Kennedy was a widow of a murdered man, still with two young children, lent a certain amount more of restraint on the part of her critics than had circumstances been different. Is it possible for a younger person to love an older person--yes, one's parents and grandparents. But to have a sexual relationship with a much older person, without finances being a factor, is just unnatural. That said, I understand there is a relatively small susbet of persons who have a sexual attraction to older persons, the reverse equivalent of pedophiles, also sometimes called "wrinkle queens." I mean, name a kink and it is bound to exist. But there are also people attracted to barnyard animals and inanimate objects, doesn't make it natural or normal. Once one is past one's 20s (and sometimes before then, with more insightful and intelligent persons), one realizes there is more to a relationship than sex. I knew when I was 18 there was more to a relationship than sex, just not mature enough then to know what to do about it (and so I drowned my sorrows in alcohol). That understood, though, a physical attraction should still be part of a good relationship, otherwise it is not a healthy relationship and based on something other than love and physical chemistry and romance. Also, romance shouldn't be one-sided. Good luck in finding a partner, Josh! I hope you have a better life than I have had in that regard. Just be careful, and use precautions. There is no one over whom it is worth dying.
@frankcar19658 жыл бұрын
Sorry Josh, some of us don't want all the crap that comes with a date and relationship, we just want to get off and get gone before it all goes bad.

When I was deployed to Afghanistan some of the guys in my platoon suspected a fellow soldier of being a closeted gay. On one occasion, as we were pulling security atop a giant hill with several "towers" located at various points along the ridge, a few of us convinced a handsome guy in our platoon (let's say his name is Jackson) to feign overtures of adoration to the suspected gay (let's say his name is Middleton) who was alone in one of the towers, manning his sector. Jackson was to confess that he was gay and pour out his heart to Middleton in hopes of eliciting a similar confession from him. It was a cruel trap we tried to set for a brother, and I was privy and party to the whole stratagem--Me--the one who was the actual gay man in our platoon. But, in order to fit in, and be like one of the guys, I felt compelled, or rather, delighted to expose Middleton just for laughs. Well, it turned out Middleton was not gay. Jackson later told him that the whole confession of love was just a joke. Everyone laughed it off. But I always felt so ashamed for being part and parcel of an attempt to shatter the confidence of my friend, knowing full well that if the same foul trickery were conspired against me, I probably would've confessed who I was to Jackson who in turn would've divulged my secret to the jeers and joviality of the entire platoon. It would've ruined me completely.

Servabo_Fidem a not uncommon phenomenon, I have known guys who beat up gay guys only to years later come out. Yours is a very poignant story, with I think the main attribute being that you are the one left with the consequence and I must say the conviction to have taken something away from it. Good work!

that sort of behavior and thinking on the battlefield is, among other things, very much against being a good solider and brother in arms. Hopefully you have learned from this. Too bad none of your fellows of the time will (we hope at least some do).
@italo19986 жыл бұрын
Great history. Maybe Middleton has confessed, but Jackson has his principles and not to ruin the reputation of his friend he did not say anything to anyone. And who guarantees that Jackson and Middleton have not really kissed and agreed to have sex afterward. Did not you ever think about this hypothesis?

+Javier Mcfee lol what.. I literally said he's adorable. Obviously my point is I'm attracted to him. What does race have to do with anything? It's not like I'm not attracted to black people..

I understand what you mean, so many same people in this world then comes along that guy that sets himself apart from all the others, and you're just so nervous because all you care about is if he feels the same way about you the way you do about him. can't wait to meet my guy, keep us updated on your new boo, it's fun listening to you talk because we have so much in common.

Interesting video Andrew. You are a down to earth guy. That is what makes you who you are. I had watched a few of your videos before a while back. I recently subscribed. It seems a lot has happened in your life in a positive way. You really had a great time a pride in your city, and I think that is great too. You keep growing and dating and coming into your own.

Andrew, congratulations on your military date. you should follow up and keep in touch with this guy. stay friends, invite him to visit you in Denver. follow your heart. don't let emotions and butterflies ruin a great friendship that could in time develop in something special. much love to you.

In my balcony, I try and match up the plants to the amount of sunlight the patio gets. And fertilizer can be key. And, I usually go to the clearance section of Loews so I get a chance to experiment with different plants. This year, I was able to grow cherry tomatoes, bell peppers and jalapeños..and eggplant along with the geraniums/impatiens/orchids. You always learn from your mistakes..the zuchini plants were a disaster..lol. Best of luck!

Andrew, I think you make me a better person. Now that i'm 25 and working and such, I don't socialize a whole lot. Your videos are a reminder to me to just take things easy and be less serious. You keep reminding me of the important of being kind!

Andrew, You seem like such a down to earth & caring guy. You talk to the camera like a you are talking to a friend. You are going to go far with your videos. There is only a few vlogs I watch beside yours which is MarkE & Ethen, all three of you seem to have such a positive outlook of life and want to share that with others.A better term than saying you pulled it out of the trash is "Junk'in or Dumpster Diving" lol. Looking forward to more shirtless videos...haha, Have a Great Day!!

i felt the same too. we had pride here in the Norfolk, Va area last weekend. and it seemed like more people came out this year then any other time. The money raised went to Pulse. It was beautiful weekend for it.

It helps in the.heat if they can sit in water to keep humidity up for those plants in extreme hot weather. Also spritz.them occasionally with.a.water.sprayer.
