@@mummyandavery having a disabled child WITH an illness is one of the hardest things for a parent to go through. You want so badly to ask them what hurts or to provide them with comforting words and when you realize you can’t it just hurts so terribly. My 4 year old son who has ASD just recovered from RSV, he kept vomiting and had such high fevers. Being that he’s minimally verbal it was hard to help him that way you can a typical child. All I could do was try to figure out what symptoms he had and to help him the best I could. Thank God he’s better now and I hope baby Avery will recover fast too😢.

@@mummyandavery Yes, the U.S. has since the start of fall , a lot children and elderly adults have been seen for it. U.S. doctors are saying since the Covid lockdown their a lot more cases of it plus flu and other winter colds, the severity of it is worse in years past due to the isolation.

Oh, Crissie, you guys have really been through it lately. Poor Avery and poor Mummy. I'm a retired RN and would see the RSV cases rise every winter. Has she ever had RSV before? I wish there was some way I could help. I can see how exhausted you are. I sure hope that the prophylactic antibiotics will keep her healthier, but they won't do anything for the viruses. Thank you ❤️ not that we know of but she’s only recently started to be tested for the bugs on her lungs.. it’s the first time her SATs have dropped the way they did. Even if it keeps the bacterial infections away that’s still going to do her good, she had 2 UTIs and 2 bouts of aspiration pneumonia in the last few months alone, poor girl ❤️

Aww she’s such a darling my nepthew had same condition think it was for same reaso. When he was poorly. He passed away in a unit because staff won’t checking him he suffocated on the bumpers at 5. Heartbreaking!

We have the entry level Vitamix. It’s pricey but I bought it because it’s top dog of the blender world. Blends pretty much anything really smooth. There’s some videos on my channel where I talk about it that I’ve linked to the one I bought xx

wonder if Avery can be approved for home oxygen - when her saturations drop especially when alseep? Not to be on continuous as body depends on it then. Only for when she is poorly. RVS is so common for admissions to the hospital. For our RSV babies, we used to do a lot of normal saline nasal instillations with syringe type to get into the nose and then suctioning. Scary to see when these babies are having difficulty with catching their breath. Usually we saw babies under 6 months but yes can happen to any age.

I don’t think Avery qualifies as her desats have only happened once since her cardiac arrest. I imagine if it continued when poorly then we would but hopefully we don’t get to that point 🤞🏼❤️

Avery serms to hate being stretched, her legs etc. Is that because of her not feeling well or she just isn't a fan of doing the work with you on exercising her legs etc....lol.

She has dystonia and the cause her to have spasms and movements that look a lot like stretching. That can be painful for her, she actually laughs when we stretch her arms out for her 😂❤️
