Hear me out. Corner desk in the window area, work on one side and vanity on other side. Then corner seat and table in corner. Push the couch more to the middle of the room and put cabinets behind it (decorate it cute). Then a breakfast table for the corner with a big floor lamp. 2 barstools for the island. Then in the bedroom get a long dresser for in front of the window.

The vanity infront of the window is a wonderful idea, I have a corner one from Wayfair with like the three mirrors and it’s infront of my bedroom window and I love it

you should consider getting the ikea shoe cabinet for the entrance since it is narrow, and you can possibly get a cabinet for that space in the kitchen which can serve as a pantry or general storage

4:50 ok the corner windows are BEAUTIFUL AHHHH, I think floor to ceiling windows and beautiful but there’s something about a corner bay like windows

Omg I just decorated the whole place in my head. 😂😂. Right on down to the low boy shelving unit used as a room divider between the living area and alcove office area. Plants on top. Printer and unsightly office supplies on the shelves hidden from living area view. Separate dining table (with removable leaf for company) just outside the kitchen area. There’s room for both dining/living. Defined by area rugs of course. Separate vanity in the bedroom. Oh this is sooo exciting. Take your time, check out second hand shops. Oh and the shelving unit you have would probably fit in the kitchen across from the fridge. Idk about that corner chair. Could it be used at a vanity? Might not survive the cut. 😂😂.

First thing I’d recommend is a narrow shoe cabinet at the entry way. It’ll fit the area and double as storage for your shoes & keys. Things like that. I’d also recommend by the window a little storage furniture piece. Love this for you though!! Been watching you for a longgg time now. Lol.

Rent in DC proper is a scam just like in NYC, shoebox appartments with no windows but having a washer/dryer in unit is pretty standard. However, if you move even a mile outside the limits of DC, prices are so much better for a bigger space with amenities, and the commute to downtown DC is even shorter than if you were to be in Manhattan and still work in Manhattan.

DC is still a high cost of living, but not as high as New York in my experience. Especially since I decided to live right across the bridge in Virginia it's much more affordable for more luxuries!!

I literally loved Arlington sooo much when I would visit! It has such a cute charm✨ We used to go to the Silver? (I think that’s what it called) Diner all the time you should check it out!
