Thanks for the explanation. What a great drama. Relieve that the lovebirds got their happy ending. However, I wish the director would finalize Ryang Eum’s story; whether he’ll be release, or if Jang Hyeon will visit him.

Sad to say Ryang Eum was possessive of Jang Hyun. He did everything to prevent Gil Chae & Jang Hyun from becoming a couple.

I finished this drama at 2:00 this morning and did have a few questions, which you graciously and delightfully answered for me. I'm not a huge fan of historicals, though I have watched a handful that I loved. My favorite up to now has been The Red Sleeve, but My Dearest has now taken that top spot. Thank you for this video, it will tide me over 'til I can get back and watch this one again. At first the extreme length of it put me off, which is why I didn't watch it last year, but after hearing all the hype and reading some reviews, I decide to give it a chance. Gil Chae's character put me off at first, but by Ep. 4 she was showing her true mettle by delivering a baby and killing a rapist. I loved her more and more as this excellent drama progressed. And I had only seen the ML in one other drama, but fell for him in this one as he had a far meatier role and executed it perfectly.

So at this time always I thought that Jng hyun is waiting for her wife without knowing that he lost his memories at the last moment but from this last episode I conclude that he stand still in her dreams with his memories lost ohh it's nice story I mean the story doesn't go straight like she dreams n at last they met but behind this the memory lost scene and regaining at the last moment is wow ❤❤❤

No one is curious why Ryang Eum is protected by the current King? The current King wanted Ryang Eum to be taken care of but not to be brought outside. Who is the current king and how is Ryeum connected to the king and Inspector Shin? Shin was the Inspector who sought him in the hospital. He was picked specifically for the task. Still too many questions.

Shin (inspector) turned out to be the adopted son of the captive lady who lost her baby to an arrow, the baby that the big man used to take care of in Simyang…I’m still clueless on what the kings relationship to Ryang Eum was tho🧐

I enjoyed the drama, and the love story , but some things are not explained. The singer is in a kind of hospital and someone took him there, and paid to keep him, but who? What happened to Gil's sister? Who took the crown???? Why does the singer have white hair, and the love birds look exactly the same? I know this is a fantasy, but after 21 episodes the writers had time to close the story.

Ryang Eum stopped singing and his hair turned white un jail...he met Gil chae and then left for don't know where telling Lee was everything to him brother parents lover everything...his life was so sad and maybe he wax a Royal too, and sadly no one tells who he was and why and where he disappeared😢

Best Saeguk Drama of 2023. but of all times. have u watch Six Flying Dragons ? Chuno ? The Princess's Man ? even Empress Qi ? one of them could be the best of all times. The King here is very weak unlike the King in Six Flying Dragons. Taking the lead the rule with wise and a bit of cruelty. have a look at one of the drama I mentioned here.

I literally just finished the final episode. I get the main ending but I have so many questions. How much time passed with Ryang Eum in prison? His hair was white but it seemed and I read that only a couple years had passed. What was the point of talking about the comparison of the Crown Prince's summary and LJH pertaining to the King's Annals. Also, what's up with the snippet out of nowhere about Inspector Chin's Mom. She obviously turned out to be a noble but that storyline came out of nowhere.
