When the QB has all the time in the world if you think your coverage can hold up you can click in the right stick (R3 on PS) and send a LB to angle and stop the QB in his tracks. I understand you want to play your way but switching in between a LB and DE is rough against AI cause they will 100% always check down when they can. I recommend calling a Man Blitz and taking either a LB or DE that is Blitzing and pull them into coverage. cover the closest person to who you're controlling. IE TE, Slot WR, or RB depending on if you want to cover the check down or the over the middle routes. :) Just a little advice without trying to take away from your game. Love the vids keep em coming. You have potential. Can't wait to see this team, become the dynasty you have the vision for it to be.

Don’t sprint till after your past the defensive linemen because sprint causes your blockers to disengage and start blocking downfield

One thing that will help is learning how hi ball the pass. Holding L1 while throwing any kind of pass will high point. It will help you get over linebackers and it helps with the deeper passes

Since you run so many screens, and often find yourself ahead of your blocker, i highly suggest targeting an Offensive Tackle in the second or third round of the draft, specifically one with "Good" to "Elite" speed and/or acceleration. Most wouldn't assume so, but speed is a very important stat in lineman

@trevortaylor9392 while that would be the case in real life, madden draft logic is very stupid, in majority of drafts I will see, for example, a 74 ovr star Tackle will go top 5 in the draft while an 81 ovr superstar DE and a 79 ovr superstar Safety will go in the second and third rounds respectively, he honestly doesn't have troubles with his defense as much as you'd think considering the overall, he just puts himself in too many defending positions because he's truthfully just not very good on offense, so that's why I suggest making an absolute powerhouse offense and then relegation your 2-4th round to defensive needs

1!! When you’re on defense pre play tap R1 and try and predict what they are gonna do (run or pass) if you’re right it’ll help a lot, if you’re wrong it could potentially be catastrophic. Real risk reward but you can tell kinda by what set they come out in. Love the series #ForTheShoe #ColtsNation

However based on the title I'm still worried for what's going to happen now Edit (spoilers): I kept thinking, "well at least it can't get much worse." And then it did in fact just keep getting worse and worse. Still had a ton of fun watching though and I'm looking forward to the playoffs!

For that one interception, try doing the high ball function. It’ll throw it higher and over those linebackers

Just some helpful tips, since you understand how to select hot routes, I'd probably use it a little more. For example give yourself an out on every passing play (or most) such as having a drag route always available for a few yards using someone on a route you don't like, especially if your first looks don't workout. Also I know you hate using linebackers, so maybe implement using them when they end up as a rusher on the selected play. The quarterbacks sometimes get spooked as the game has the player set as a rusher and you end up using him in coverage, and it doesn't mess up any zones the none rushing linebackers are in. Lastly don't forget to get a new punter, and even a kicker if needed, they're the easiest to trade for in the game, might as well always have the best ones. If you won't be cheesing how broken trades are I think doing it with kickers is totally acceptable out of every position.

Idk if you do it already or not but when you are choosing plays in the coaching adjustments at the bottom you can have your secondaries lined up on the wrs based on like speed height overall and depth chart position pretty sure. That’s the only one I know how to use effectively cuz i don’t understand how to use the rest

A tip to improve AR5, focus on running the ball a lot and then do a PA. It forces the AI to bite into the run then you’ll have an easy pass for a lot of yardage. (Also love the series)

WILDCATTTTTT I LOVE YOU BRO, BUTTTT COACH SUGGESTIONS, is not it. I know you’re playing against the computer, but defense wins championships, offense sells tickets. I’ll breakdown some defense for you. Offense you can basically run whatever but defense HAS TO BE STRATEGIC. I’ll be honest I don’t know INDY’s defensive playbook but it all works almost the same. So to start it off: 1. At the start of the game it’s 0-0 you wanna be in a base defense that’s 3-4 4-3 whatever they may have. Cover 3 cover 2 a zone blitz or 2 and if they aren’t passing run man and protect the inside use your adjustment tools. Learn what they do the most. A lot of times the bot typically runs the same plays in different orders and possibly flipped. Just got to identify your patterns. 2.When you’re up against the wall AT ANYTIME, (like they are going to score) man coverage, Nickel, cover 2 press, and adjust DBS to the outside, and pinch or adjust the lineman for middle protection for small dive runs. those things are your best friends. Just make sure you have the lineman, so use a 4-4 or 5-3 if you feel they might score trying to use a run, on the off chance they don’t make sure you adjust coverage, understand adjusting is different than making an audible. Stay confident in your play call even if what you’re doing isn’t working. 3. When you’re up a little bit the BOT seems to be turned up a bit to get the score and win the game. So, play Nickel, take away the middle, remember the pattern of plays they seem to run and bring pressure on plays only when you feel like you can afford to lose if something were to break big. ALWAYS ADJUST. 4. Just some key things to remember about how they may line up, if it’s 2x2, NEVER BE IN MAN COVERAGE or cover 2, audible to cover 3 protect the outside and user linebackers. The linebackers in madden seem to cover weird and it’s very un realistic how they run coverage. Now, if it’s 3x1 man coverage would be okay depending on where you are on the field, it’s your decision. But again, audible to a cover 3 and in some cases you can press the wideouts just make sure you’re not pressing with a linebacker YOU WILL GET BURNT everytime. You should really always be adjusting to the outside take away flat routes and running backs leaking out late, your quarter and deep 3rds players will take away big plays and your LINEBACKER user should take away the middle. When they line up with the whole team as linemen MOST of the time it goes to the outside. BUT stack the box bring everyone inside coverage adjust to the outside and pinch or slant your lineman. Again those are mostly adjustments. I’m a terrible typer, but I hope it helps a little bit, I love the series, I watched all videos today. But I figured I would help you, I love madden football, is my life and it was fun to watch you play. Coach suggestions will kill you more often times than not. It may be madden and just a game but it’s still football in the way it’s broken down. I BELIVE BABY. Indy’s taking it all, even if it is in franchise mode they’re taking it all. Good luck Ty!
