If you want to ensure success go to a well established surgeon and do an FUT or "strip" procedure. There's far better graft survive rate with FUT than there is with FUE.

To be fair I also went to the same practice for a consultation. The salesman was literally like a scouse car salesman and the Dr was very crass and seemed a tad offish. I didn't bother going back as that had put me off and my instinct was telling me no on that basis alone. Glad I never went through with it with them to be fair . Two clinics come to mind in the UK, the private clinic again on Harley street and also a very good clinic in Portsmouth. The latter do a lot of work.on repair. Worth a a look and youlle see. You are a saint. Bless you! The slick FUE marketing machine has bilked many unfortunate insecure men out of many thousands of dollars. I had one in 2015 and have regretted it ever since! The recovery was absolutely excruciating and painful as hell! They really downplayed and outright lied to me about the recovery process. They actually told me I could go back to work the next day! HA! What a crock of bullshit! Now I'm really stuck. I had the originally planned to get another HT years in the future to manage further hair loss, but I don't think I can go through that shit again. I wish I would've just buzzed down and called it a day. Please reconsider the strip surgery it will leave you with a nasty scar covering a large part of you head. At least with just a FUE you can shave down your head in the future should your hair loss progress rapidly and it's not too noticeable (except up close and if someone is looking for it).
@bbaaspencer15 жыл бұрын
Had FUE last Monday. They said it was painless...bs! The needles were beyond painful and I could barely stand it! Then, I’m 7 days post op and my head is in pain! And, they never said they were shaving me bald until I was there in a gown and they took out the electric clippers and I noticed they were shaving it all off! I can’t go out because I tried putting on a cap and it lands on the transplant area and is painful, plus you’re not suppose to put a cap on the transplant area or risk a failure. Very hard to sleep because every angle you lay your head is painful!

it's weird that almost everything that could go wrong actually did: pain before the procedure, during, and way after and poor success rate. It is known that FUE yields lesser results than strip. I have heard though that curly hair gives better coverage so not sure what went wrong here maybe poor skills related? who knows. I had a procedure (2 actually) over 10 years ago and couldn't be happier. Density is "acceptable" but the overall experience was amazing.

I had 3700 FUE grafts done in 6ish hours. And my results are bang on the money 4 month later. It's just one of those things where the results vary person to person. I was told my hair was thick in the donar area and the dr would need to use a 0.9mm punch to extract the hairs for a higher rate of survival per graft. Whereas my mate had his done and the same clinic used 0.6mm to extract his donar hair as his hair was thinner than mine. Now if they had used the 0.6mm on me my results wouldn't have been as good as they are. That being said there are so many factors which come into the equation and results really do vary person to person. So don't put yourself down because of your results mate or feel upset in any way, the show must go on keep your head up.

I agree with you on most parts of this video, however from what I have seen Turkey have got the best HT surgeons (just my opinion) and have seen some amazing results for not stratospheric prices like they do here in UK. Had mine done 3500 grafts for just £2800. On the forth month now and so far really happy with the hair growth, that started on the third month. I will make a video at some point. Good luck with your second HT, FUT seems like a better choice if your hair is wavy or curly as it will reduce the number of damaged follicles.

My condolences. You have been through hell. The damage caused to the hairline, in particular, is so egregious as you say pluggy doll like hair! Btw, have you considered shaving your head? KZbin and other sites with this type of content are flooded with videos on success stories saying how painless it was with minimal after effects and what great, amazing results they got just a few weeks after the procedure. This was one of the few videos I have seen, there are a couple of others out there, that provides a more measured and real talk description of what the pitfalls of the procedure like this are. Obviously people who have had experiences like yours are not keen on being open and showing the reality of what was done to them because of mocking, unkind and mean spirited reactions they may get in the comments section. But by not sharing they are doing a disservice to others who want to know more of the real pros and especially the cons of this type of procedure.

Who did your procedure? a red flag to me is the fact that you were in the clinic from 7am to 9pm, it sounds like the grafts were out of your body for an extended period of time, it doesn't sound like the clinic you went to were FUE specialists. I'm assuming you're in the UK, you should check out Dr. Bisanga or Dr. Lupunzula in Belgium, there is also Dr. Lorenzo in Madrid Spain. I went to Dr. Diep in Los Gatos, Ca, my hairline procedure of 2,120 grafts I began surgery at 9am finished at 7pm. FUE not working on curly hair is a myth, you just need to go to a doctor who specializes in curly hair, if the doctor regularly performs FUE on African hair than you know you're in the right place.

I have been a medical consultant for hair transplantation and plastic surgery operations for 4 years. This is the first time I see a failed transplant. I came across your video while doing 'regenaractiva' research about hair transplantation. The reasons you're listing from your side are not only because your hairs are curly or anesthesia did not work with you.... Many of my patients who have an afro, wavy, straight type of hairs they got really really good results. It's not about the technology they use it's about the doctor! a good doctor will extract any type of that hair (some hairs will be damaged which is quite normal) %85 of transplanted hairs will grow back and the rest may not grow (damaged grafts and weak grafts) aftercare is very essential! maybe you haven't had enough information... I really liked your videos :) Good luck XX

I wasn't washing my hair properly at the time maybe once a week or twice and usual a lot of hair dye or toppik and other things. I got a massive discount on a second ht at the same clinc 11 months later. To my surprise I would say 90% of the grafts never fell out after the second ht. They are still thin and some new ones 8 months on. I went for due again. Hopefully second one goes well for you. I'm going to have a third I'd say all the same.
