The correct way to install the drain hose on a dishwasher is to run a loop of the drain hose higher than the connection to the sink drain/ garbage disposal. Ideally right where the hose enters the sink cabinet and as high as possible.

It's not a hack, it's literally in the installation instructions for every dishwasher and it's required by code
