My DIY Cold Plunge with EcoPlus Chiller

Made this video in hopes of possibly helping someone else who is thinking of making their own cold plunge. Also, all power is supplied through a GFCI. Be careful doing your own. I am not a professional and this is not an instructional video. Any projects are at your own risk.

How are you getting the sauna to 180?do you have more the. One heat source? Because I read those little steamers only get it to 120-140.

I have a tiny amount of chlorine and spa sanitizer in there. I think I’m gonna break down and buy an ozone to add to it though. Might as well at this point

I purchased the 1.5 hp and I was wondering if you might know what would happen if the pump failed? Would the chiller be ruined when the pump failed? ...or does the chiller have some auto shutoff if there is no water flow?

hello , does your pump run all of the time? is your pump wired straight into the chiller.

Hey JD. Awesome setup!! I just installed the same ecoplus 1hp to a 200 gallon stock tank. My question for you is what size pump are you running? How many GPH?? Mines is 1267 ecoplus and it seems to be pumping double the speed of yours. My water is taking forever to chill so I’m wondering if I get a slower flow pump it might be better

I believe the one I have now is the 1267 as well. I’ve upgraded a lot since this video but the one in the video was only like 600gph I believe.

Nice nice. So the same pump. Moves the water a lot faster lol. How long does it take to say go down 5 degrees Fahrenheit? Does it slow down the colder it gets? Mine went from 45F to 42F in like 2-3hrs. Room temp was only 55f so not too hot. Idk if my chiller is working correctly or if that’s just how slow it cools
