Sorry to hear that it doesn't run at the moment; great job organizing the timing belt process though. I unfortunately don't have a clue what the problem could be, but I do hope it runs again. 3:18 3:19 3:20 3:25, those crescent shapes near the edge of the piston are all valve pockets, if the valves had hit, those pockets would be shiny from the contact, that speck you showed is not related at all thankfully. To me that very much sounds like improper ignition timing, IE. the plugs are firing at the wrong time, your mechanical timing can be perfect and the ignition timing can still be wrong, it is adjustable, so look into that next

Man that engine bay looks almost as bad as the 300ZX. Not fun cars to work on at all. I thought the MK3 Sup was a cluster under the hood at first, but it actually has quite a bit of room and the inline-6 really is a tuners car because of the room it gives. My bro has a 300ZX he never uses, but it freaks me out thinking if I ever got it because I know how insane they are to work on.

Sounds to me like an ignition problem. Maybe double check that you didn't mix up the plug wires
