I know the feeling when your drone crashes. However, if it has malfunctioned, you can go into your drone flight logs and check if your compass heading was compromised or was it a technical error. A few times the issue has been found if you don't land your drone on the ground too. You can forward the flight log to me and I can have it checked for you too. I had a similar issue where the sensor stopped responding on my phantom 4 pro. The store I bought it from took care of the expense of my gimbal and propellors. Having said that, god speed bossman! Ride safe and wish you many more miles of good roads and a journey ahead! Cheers.

The reason why drone went up when it got disconnected is because of RTH settings you might have set it to certain height for drone to reach before it automatically returns in such situations like disconnect , low battery etc
