Nice to see a more down to earth, realistic, common guy set up. The high speed low drag stuff gets old. That’s a good basic set up that would do well for the majority of people in the majority of situations. Thanks for keeping it real.

Great show, great stuff! I was in the Marines in Forced Recon in 1987-1991 after high school. Did boot Ait, Force Recon school and sniper school. Repel and jump school. We used Vietnam ER nylon stuff from 1968 when my dad was in Vietnam as a Marine too. I had all black being in Recon. Everything is was Allis web belt, suspenders, shoulder straps. M-14 mag pouches for my HK-G 3. In 308. I carried a bolt action M-24 in 300 grain magnum too. I got on our police dept. In 1995 after college and the Academy. In SWAT WE USED THE SAME STUFF UNTIL. 2010 WHEN CONDOR CAME OUT MOLLY WITH THE COBRA BUCKLE. GREAT BELT! WISH I HAD THAT BELT IN 1987. LOL. I JUNKED MY WEB BELT AFTER 30 YEARS AND PUT MY SUSPENDERS SHOULDER HARNESS ON THIS. i have a leg harness on this SWAT belt and my personal belt at home. I have all the condors pouches. I hated and sent back the HSG taco pouches they were crap. You younger guys have great stuff I wish we had 33 years ago. Great video. Semper Fi seal!

The one wrap has been a solution of mine on both Tactical Games gun belts and work belts. The material is surprisingly durable. I wish I had known about the CUBLs and now want to switch out all of my UBLs due to the annoying draw angle.
@wingatesolutions7 ай бұрын
I know what you mean. The CUBL should have been standard from the getgo.

Dude this video is awesome! You went into so much detail about the exact things I’ve been playing with in my mind for my belt (using OneWrap, if the hype of Esstac kywis is valid, etc.) Thank you for making this video, made sure to subscribe 👍🏽

I didn’t realize until about halfway through the video that you were detailing a belt while wearing another one set up a little different. Could we maybe get a video on that belt, mainly the advantages between swapping a TQ for a small fixed blade, in your opinion?

Thank you for the video, I've been enjoying your content. One quick thought with regard for your comment on holster cant, it seems that if you begin your draw with your hands at your side having it straight gives you an advantage; however, if you begin with your hands in front of you - most people talk with their hands- having an angle provides an advantage. I don't own any of their products so I don't know if they have a adjustable model. That said, if they don't, perhaps there is a hole in the market for your company. Blessings.

Thanks! Im a big fan of teaching to draw from multiple hand positions do to not always being able to pre stage your hands. It is old school in my opinion when many trainers freak out when a student doesn't keep his/her hands up. In reality, we dont walk around like that, nor is it always feasible. With the forward cant, it may work better for that hands up draw but it hinders a lot of others. At the end of the day, it still comes down to personal preference. Thanks 🤘

Do you always carry an AR with you? Is that rifle mag there on your belt just in case you find a random AR? Overt carry is not well suited to civilian life. It would be interesting to see how you covert carry. Thanks for sharing.
@wingatesolutions7 ай бұрын
I try to have one close by whenever possible. This setup is not for EDC. It has a limited use case contexually at the moment and I agree that it is not as suited for civilian life. But that does not mean a lot of civilians would not want to train and have the ability to go overt if that need would arise. For most situations that may require a rifle without much prep time, I would just grab a rifle stored in a patrol ready condition, and throw a spare mag in a pocket. Hopefully I answered your questions 🤘

By the way how is the inner belt liner working as far as when it gets wet with sweat or snow or rain? And if you go in the prone, or get up and do some really unconventional movement, does it slide up or out of place? Thanks!
@wingatesolutions7 ай бұрын
In my experience, it stays put for the most part if it is sized right (not too loose). It has moved om occasion but not enough for it to bother me. I also run a leg strap on the holster and that helps. A velcro inner will be more solid but I really like the grip liner for ease of use.

Great presentation! I'm considering purchasing this belt for range use. What size are you wearing? Is the addition of one wrap Velcro and padded inner belt something to consider when selecting a size? My waist measurement over the pants is 39-40; should I go with a M or L belt size? Thanks.
@wingatesolutions4 ай бұрын
Thank you! I have a size Large. I usually wear 34 or 36" pants. I will have to check my measurements to give you a better idea on sizing. The velcro and padded liner still allow of more adjustment if needed.

Really nice, straightforward and realistic information and advice. You know what you're talking about and it shows. I had been trying to decide between the one piece and two piece approach and your advice on the grip pad / padded grip sleeve (plus the velcro one wrap) was fantastic... that is the approach I was hoping to find.
