He was quite popular on KZbin for the time. Not sure why he struggled to grow his channel much after this. I've just been watching his old videos recently because I loved watching them back when they came out.

@@Captain-Sum.Ting-Wong I know it's a year old, but I think it's about adapting to the algorithm. I think culturally, since streaming and all the online stuff, it killed the physical media for interest. Taking gaming for an example, if you would of started 6 years ago for you gaming channel you would be in the 100,000 plus subs now most likely. If you started 10-15 years ago, you would of been big for the time, but highly forgotten now. It's quite sad, on how it works.

Great insight on these, wow I remember the 80's man...there was so much stuff jam packed into the 80s that you literally have to divide it into pre-85 and post-85...and that goes beyond just movies. The real Golden Era of everything where everyone hung out and created memories instead of texting.

The 80's is still my favorite decade for horror, although this new decade is catching up. The Creepshow DVD is great. You should really get it. It has a great retrospective documentary, and the audio-commentary by George Romero and Tom Savini is a great listen. Favorite 80's horror movie: the Thing.

i agree with you, on all of your reviews ... i grew up in the eighties, watching those flicks, and being myself a rat of the video stores, still got some old vhs with some terrific movies.... i love season of the witch H3, i have the demons 2 in some tape, and creepshow 2 is awesome too, the raft story .. and my favorite is DAY OF THE DEAD (totally OWNS !!!!)

really good review. i was happy to see night of the comet on your list. as well as sleep away camp and texas chainsaw massacre 2. as a kid growing up in texas, i always wanted to believe it was a true story. and for a long time was led to believe it was,but now i know better. but excellent review just the same, i was wondering how you feel about night of the creeps. i really enjoyed that movie,

Good collection. A few of my faves you did not mention are: Scarecrows,very hard to find,not sure its out on dvd yet,but a very good scary movie. Clownhouse,kind of funny at some parts,but also another good horror film. The Supernaturals, very hard to find, I remember seeing this movie as a kid and remember it being very scary,gave me nightmares,LOL!

It's cool that you took the time to show the 80's horror films. I've been looking for a horror movie; I don't know if it's 80's or 90's but I was in the 6th grade in '93 I think it was called The Hole in the Pond. It's about a family of like 4; one's a teenage girl and her little like 3 year old sister who starts writing NAREK meaning Karen with blood on the mirror. A girl is trapped inside the mirror saying Help. If you know anything please let me know. Thanks

The Burning was actually made around the time Friday the 13th, Part II. In fact, Tom Savini was unable to do the effects on F13th, Part II due to being the effects guy on The Burning, which was filming across the same lake at the same time apparently. Interesting story.

I always loved "Halloween III," and Dan O'Herlihy as Cochran was fantastic in it -- the music is very good, as you say, and Dean Cundey's cinematography is excellent. Good choices, here. "Motel Hell" is another great rare cult classic.

It's about two cousins going to a camp, one boy, one girl. The girl keeps getting picked on because she's shy and the whole time, there's mysterious deaths going on. The movie keeps you wondering, "Who's the killer?" It's a good movie.

What incredible collection you got there huh, am also a collector, I'm from Brazil, I have some of the movies you have and others you showed'm looking for. My collection is very unusual because most of it is in VHS Cassette Tape Cassette Tape have 10 videos functional, most also have DVDs, here is quite unusual to have VHS and inagino that is more al taste for nostalgic call it on my old radio is equal to a home theater, more like your collection, it's always good to know a huge fan of horror flmes ..... or have more idea how many movies I have more has surely passed titles of 2000
