Howard the Duck, I loved that movie so much when I was a kid- I know people crapped on it alot, but I liked it--now I got to go out and buy it now that I know its on DVD, awesomeness, great update and usual Shaun!

MIlk was AMAZING! The casting was spot on & the cinematography was genius. I think the movie & Gus VanSant's directing were a very close second place in the running for winning best director & best picture at the oscars.

I haven't seen Pinocchio in AGESSSS and I can't wait to get it tomorrow. And LOL when you said Davey Jones, I immediately thought of that episode in The Brady Bunch, where Marcia tried to get him to sing for a school dance. You talked about the movie, "Elephant" in the end: is it any good? I've known about it for years but I never bought it because I didn't know if it was any good.

Great update. Primal Fear is a good movie. I have not seen in a while but thought Gere/Norton/Linney were great in it. I need to get a Blu Ray player soon. I guess I'm just waiting for the prices to go down a bit.

i want the bluray pinnochio! i dont have a bluray player yet but i wanna start buying certain dvds on bluray and thats really cool that it comes w/ the regular dvd which i could hold off w/ until i get a bluray player.. does the reg dvd come w/ all the bluray editions? i checked on bestbuy's website and it didnt say anything about the regular dvd on the bluray...

"Dead in 3 days" is an Austrian movie. It's funny that I come across it here. Didn't know they released it on DVD for the US market. It was okay, one of the VERY few Austrian genre movies.

Good update mate, nice choices, just Starting my Blu-ray collection. I think DVD will continue to be a good standard for years to come though. Check out some Hammer Horror DVDs, I think you would like them. I reccomend 'The Devil Rides Out' with Christopher Lee.

ahhh, well if your contract ever runs out for the two years, I hear verizon FIOS is the next big thing. Pretty much everything is HD there. Shawn, you should check out the swedish film called Let The Right One In. The movie just came out on dvd and you can find it at Wal-Mart for like $14.

Either you're a comedic genius, or, or I'm not sure. What I would recommend, though, to help you stand out more on camera is to wear lighter coloured shirts to avoid blending in with your background, and change the lighting from overhead to front and side lighting which will decrease the amount of shadows on your face and highlight the DVD more.

Say mr.cool dvd dude..i just bought the young guns "blu-ray" edition. BUT..is that actually some sort of rip-off? I know how a really good blu-ray quality movie looks like on tv, but i really got mixed emotions when i sat down to watch that video. Would you argue that these re-issues are fair to be called blu-ray, even though they were shot decades ago? That`s why i almost without exceptions buy only the most recent movies on the blu-ray format. But mostly i just settle for the "plain" dvd`s!

No, I've seen movies hand drawn, I understand you appreciate it, but drawings in blu-ray aren't impressive.. Maybe the vibrant colors you like from childhood, but 3D is basically best as it gets on HD
