I just saw a KZbin short showing when you received this book and I immediately went to Amazon to check it out and was so delighted that I was able to see many of the pages in the book! And so, I ordered it a few minutes ago and can't wait to go through it and learn your techniques for line and wash painting. I love your tutorials and your style, thank you so much for sharing. Thats awesome , as an architect my go to doodle is usually a building but by go to flower is always a Lilly and they beautiful flowers and they are fragrant too. Thanks

This is just lovely. So fresh and spontaneous. I think nasturtiums are wonderful to paint - for their variety of warm colours, beautiful shapes of both flowers and leaves and 'windy' stems.

Thank you, Camilla. I have been struggling with line and wash. This helped so much. It was the detail lines that I was getting wrong. Other’s that I was trying to learn from were doing layer on top of layer, overworking! The tiny detail lines were enough! I love my results, and even tried adding the detail lines on a piece that I didn’t like. It was an improvement. I’ll be ordering your book tonight!

Poppies are mine too! I live where there is a very large botanical garden and they have blue poppies that I go to see every year. Haven’t had the confidence to paint them yet. Ginkgos are my go-to leaf.

Really like the poppies. Have no problem drawing them, but I need to practice the watercolor aspect... My colors seem flat. I don't get a nice dark center, and lighter towards outside of the petal. So my flowers seem flat.

Try dripping in more saturated color close to the center when the water starts to dry. That way it wont spread to the entire petal.
