Recently I made an addition to my EDC. I have added a small lock pick kit. It is amazing how quickly one can become very proficient with it. Considering the environment we live in, protests, civil unrest, etc. the ability to get through a lock that I can lock behind me was very attractive.

How about carrying a multitool, a cell charger, a pair of diapers in case you ever need to use this stuff, or a change of underwear and some wet wipes. Dont forget the plastic utinsil set. It's got salt, pepper, knife fork spoon napkin, all in a tiny package. How about a sweater? Did you ever think of that? Those in the know, carry the glow. Lvl IIIa insert for your bag, maybe you won't need to use the tourniquet then. Oh, and a non lethal option, like a tazer, or mace, just so you don't have to eacalate all the way to killing someone, just a thought. Oh, How about water or a snack? People get hungry/thirsty.

I will carry a couple bottles of water and a filter, you stay too much time on the road, if you car brocken, you maybe have to walk some miles until get a support. Nice loadout, I love my g19 gen 3 as iwb carry for my off duty days, thanks for sharing

Hey man, I think you got a good set up but have you thought about upgrading to a MOAB (I believe it’s the 11) sling pack!? For as much as you’re on the road I’d say that might be a better option for you and your G 17 should fit in the CCW pouch with the light! It’s your pack, your EDC! You do what you need to do! I actually got rid of my MOAB 6 because I just didn’t feel it was big enough! But that’s just me! If it works for you… Continue to rock it! Stay safe out there man! 🤙

Good point. Never really thought about it that way. Still trying to figure out this platforms learning curve. I carry them for various reasons. We use to use them to mark areas in dwellings that were already cleared, marking waypoints, emergency lighting, etc. I can see how not speaking on the item would come off like that. Good looking out on the advice.

Dude it's nothing more than a trend. Guys at high levels in the war had reasons to use em, especially cause they needed disposable sources for what they used em for. These days people have em and not only do they not know why, but they would never use em anyway, even in a bad situation. There are cheap CHEAP electrical light sticks now that are reusable and long lasting but nobody has upgraded to those. Even if you gotta ditch em they're cheap enough to ditch. The chem stick fad is dumb and this guy will and has never used em and I don't believe for a second that he would even know when.

I actually do have some 550 cord in my Rush 24 as well as a straw. A lighter was in the small pocket where sunglasses go. I use to have 550 cord in one of the pockets but recently had to use it, gotta replace that for sure. My bigger bag also have a life straw, extra first aid, fire starter, 550 cord, etc. thank u again for the support. Much appreciated

I have a 10.5” AR pistol with a folding stock that fits nicely in my 5.11 RUSH 24. I don’t have a ballistic plate in it as of now but it is a viable option

If I’m reading you correctly….harsh words is never a justification to pull out your weapon. If words can affect someone to that degree they shouldn’t be carrying a firearm. Being levelheaded and having common sense goes a long way in life. Fact is, lots of folks carry with no intention of ever using it making them a liability. We all have a responsibility to protect those who can’t protect themselves. You just have to do it the right way

What I meant by most is that the majority carry pretty light or minimalistic with a pistol, knife, wallet, keys, etc. I think it comes down to your need in your respective environment. My travels go through the desert, mountains, into a metropolitan city so I have my EDC bag plus a 5.11 RUSH 24 with first aid, and things to sustain me or others for larger scale events. Glow sticks are good for a lot of different reasons, car accident, don’t want to use your main light to preserve battery, getting someone’s attention if you had to throw it….lost goes on.
