Holy crap that sucks, one time i rinced my sherman-s to clean it, big mistake ! Some water got in the motherboard compartment and the wheel turned on by itself, then i removed the fuses as quickly as possible, i used compressed air to get all the water and dirt out and used some heat to dry any moisture left, luckily 1000km later everything is still fine !

Hah! Did the same thing with S16 recently😂 Disconnected the battery, disassembled everything, dried it, assembled. It works!

I dunked my s18 in a ditch too. Sad thing was the batts were perfectly bone dry but would only report half the voltage. The board was a gonner. Replaced board and batts and up an running. Also a tip. If you are ever riding somewhere and there is a sharp enough knock to the slider poles UNDER the pedals, there is a good possibility for the unit to just shut off and refuse to turn on !. The only solution is to plug in a rapid charger !! That resets the mother board and batts for whatever reason !

I had something similar happened to me at a skatepark I was a long way from home but had my plyers So I disconnected all the packs Waited a bit then reconnected and it worked after that

Holy cow, I've seen some pretty crazy EUC repairs but this one is something else, really shows how rugged these things are! Though I wouldn't trust any of those battery packs after that, its a major fire hazard! You really, really should consider looking into a newer wheel even though you said weight is a concern, but modern higher voltage EUCs can pretty much power through anything that some slight weight would be of concern. Personally I'm not a big fan of inmotion but if water proofing is a concern you should look at the v14 I hear its got some decent water resistance while being a decent off-road wheel.

Sound like the motherboard bolts or the lower motherboard aluminum housing have not been good tighten. So the gyro sensor on the board moving around when it vibrate till it's natural frequency and create more vibration. You can try apply more torque on thkse bolts. I just guess. Hope this helps.

Also sounds like could be the motor bolts But unfortunately it's the controller I had this issue with this controller for ages so I got a new one and the new one worked perfectly Until I drowned it So now back to the shitty controller 😭 At least it's good 80% of the time It took me ages to figure out its just a dodgy controller I think there is something wrong with the IMU

I would’ve went home immediately and plugged it in to charge. The heat from the electricity would’ve been warm enough to dry up all the excess water and then boom. Good as new.

@@The-Stranga that is not the point, these battery packs have been tampered with and are no longer "as per manufacturer specs" and are not as safe. At least keep the wheel outside of the house.

Dude I had to fix the nickel strip like 1.5 years in and it never messed up again it's been over 3 years now it lives as a spare in my car And I have car insurance 🤣
