Good looking small bag setup, definitely gave me some ideas on some small hand tool to add. Being in industrial maintenance, I get to roll my entire tool box around to where it’s needed, but have the same bag you’re using for my personal tool setup at home and when helping out friends. Keep up the great work. 👍🏼

"I like my work to be perfect", says he. I like your attitude, sir! More people should feel this way. At 7:45, that is called a China Marker or China Pencil. I work with plastic molding and we use them to mark parts underwater. One question, how much does this setup weigh? Thinking about going back to school to become an electrician and am wondering how much you guys carry all day with these pouches.
@TheElectriciansToolChannel

Thank you for your compliment, and that setup weighs 10 - 15lbs give or take away just a little. Sirius if you’re considering changing careers becoming an electrician pays well depending on your knowledge. Plus it’s an honorable skill very challenging not mentioning all the COOL 😎 TEST INSTRUMENTS you’ll be using to locate the needle in the haystack (Troubleshooting). "I don't mind spending money on tools ..." That's an understatement :D I got the D2000 dykes, I don't like the journeyman style handles. I got J2000 linesmans because they have the crimper and the weird tape puller - couldn't buy them with D handles. Got the Klein Kurve strippers, with the glow in the dark handles - I like those they're lighter in the pouch. I take off the springs and pop the lock off. I'm gonna replace the rest of them when they wear out with those kind. Got the Ideal screwdriver - the 7 in 1, and I actually tried the wire nut part, and wire looper - both work pretty good, I thought it was gimmicky but its kind of handy. I really need some of those knipex nonmetallic needle nose. I arced up a box a couple of days ago - the "remote breaker tripper" - burned a spot on my shiny new pliers! Drives me nuts ... makes me wanna go buy new ones, but ... well they ARE new! I know you know that feeling!

I find it interesting you have multitool linemans pliers, multitool needlenose, a multitool set of snips with a wide linemans style tip, then also carry a set of linemans pliers. the Insulated needlenose makes sense to a point, you don't appear to carry a meter in this setup so you'd know ahead of time whether you are working on a live circuit or not so I'd call those a duplicate as well. for a quick service sort of bag I'd like to slim that down to 2-3 tools.

Very interesting video and I really like the quality nature of the tools and pouch. That said, I am a little puzzled by the range of tools carried as to me it's not a light weight bare bones "grab bag" but neither is it a comprehensive "instalation" bag but falls somewhere in between the two. Still, if it works for you in your circumstances, that's what counts...

Great video, I do Industrial and commercial electrical work, so I carry stuff in my pouch that you residential guys don't have to (channellocks (2 pair), crescent wrench, 3/8 Ratcheting wrench) ..... However, I'm glad to see that someone other than me uses a tool pouch that isn't made by Klein or Greenlee ((((( I use a Sears Craftsman leather pouch (what's funny is that I use it because I actually/honestly like it better than the Klein leather pouch.-LOL!

I worked as an industrial electrician for a number of years and I used to carry the tools you mentioned and more. I still have all my speciality tools ...etc. I would still be working industrial but the production plant folded. Then I started doing commercial/ residential. I’ve been an electrician for a long time and when I first started I used to buy certain name brand tools because it was traditional ( Klein, Greenlee, Ideal, ...etc ). But after I learned better I started purchasing other reliable name brands and tools that I liked, and worked for me. Now when I enter a job site I set the trend , I have tools that everyone else are asking me about. Gary thank you for the compliment, and thanks for stopping by my channel you’re welcome back anytime. And if you love tools check out my other videos I’m sure you’ll find something interesting. I literally did the same thing with my tp4b. I got the tp4b free when I purchased a tech xl bag and almost immediately took the handle off of the pouch and put the shoulder strap on it. I'm still working on getting my load out to how I like it. Whenever possible I will spend the money to get the best possible tools for the job. I like the selection of tools you have and it very closely mirrors what I've put together for myself with the exception of a few items. However I think you are maybe carrying too many pliers which to me appears to make a couple things redundant. Not saying that you should change anything because if that works for you that's what matters but if that was my bag I'd probably lighten the load a bit by removing the linemans and/or one of the combo pliers.

Jeez how many stripping tools do you need bro? I just feel like some of what your carrying is over kill. The hybrid strippers and hybrid lineman will basically do the same exact thing. No need to carry both of them. Same with the lineman and the hybrids. Multiple tools that do the same thing. Usually multi tools make it to where you don’t need to carry as much. But you still carry the tools they made to replace

I tried it as a tool belt but I didn't like it. It also has a strap so you can carry it. I really like that when I'm not carrying it on my shoulder. It's a nice tool pouch, but a lot of other tool pouch manufacturers have stepped their game up. So before purchasing this model do your research. Because VETO have made other tool bag companies step their game up. Good luck with your purchase .👌🏽

I like your setup. Have a lot of those same tools. I recommend dropping the 1 of the 2 pliers. And 2 of the 3 “multi pliers”. Keep one of each Then replace that with a pair of channel locks and you’re all set and less weight on the body
@TheElectriciansToolChannel
@TheElectriciansToolChannel 3 жыл бұрын
I respect your sincere recommendation, but each tool although mostly all of them are multi tools have a purpose for why they’re there. Let me put it in a nutshell for example, if I got rid of all the multi tools you see and have one dedicated tool for each job ? That means that I’ll have to carry all those tools up the ladder with me. Or come down to retrieve that dedicated tool for the job at hand. Now the reason for me carrying so many multi tools is because if I’m up a ladder and need needle nose pliers , I bring my needle nose pliers that also serves as wire strippers, and cutters without coming down the ladder. The point I’m making I want to carry less tools as possible all the time and still get the job done without making several trips to my tool bag because that wastes time, and time is very costly. So even though it looks like I’m carrying a lot of the same tools they’re there for a particular reason. Thanks for your suggestion. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
