I’m glad I could be somewhat helpful! Feel free to message me if you have any questions regarding the surgery or if you need anyone to talk to! I know surgery can be a pretty anxiety inducing situation to go into.

Thank you for sharing your story!! 🤍In the process of scheduling for surgery at the CEC and this is so reaffirming. With past medical trauma, I definitely wanted to go with the best of the best + doctors who are compassionate, so I'm so glad you had a *mostly* great experience! Any tips for post op pain? I have IBS + am nervous about reacting to the pain meds as well, but I'm not about to wing it after being cut into lol.

Thank you for sharing your story. I am having surgery with Dr Arrington at CEC in December and I am super nervous especially with my history of severe anxiety and panic disorder. Also afraid of waking up from anesthesia in a panic attack.

I totally understand that fear - Please know that Dr. Arrington is an absolute fantastic surgeon with an incredibly kind heart. He’s gonna take care of you greatly, I’m sure!! Good luck! ❤️

Kathryn Paige Yes he is, I was super impressed when I had my in person consultation a few weeks ago. I am also having excision, appendectomy and total hysterectomy. Looking forward to having less pain.

romosweethearrt You are in incredible hands- The CEC is the absolute biggest blessing I’ve received throughout this process. It’s natural to feel nervous, but know you are going to be so well taken care of! I hope all goes well. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about recovery or anything! Good luck!!

Kathryn Paige thanks! I know most people who travel there have already had a surgery to be officially diagnosed but I havent because all the gynecologists near me do ablation...so I figured if they all suspect I may have it I may as well go somewhere where theyll do it right and diagnose it the first time. I'm just terrified they wont find anything and my horrible pain will continue😭

romosweethearrt That’s a very valid concern & one I had pre-diagnosis as well. You’re saving yourself a ton of time by going to an excision specialist- I wish I would’ve done that instead of getting my ablation. If you have endo, it’ll for sure be found by CEC. If you don’t have endo, they’ll definitely help provide you with next steps to figuring out your pain. I hope you get the answer you’re looking for ❤️
