I'm so glad I came across this video. I'm 5months post surgery and I thought I was doing well and recovering well too but now I feel those spasms in my pelvic floor area and I thought the endometriosis is back. I feel my bladder is weak too, I often feel the need to go to the bathroom, well some days are better than others

I'm going for surgery in a few days. I really hope it does help. I've been nervous with all of the unknown but I've been living with endo for as long as I can remember and I remember the pain getting real bad in 2012 and no one listening to me so i'm grateful my grandma pointed me to a doctor that actually listens and doesn't want me to do anything I wouldn't be comfortable with. I'm glad you did this video because there really aren't many out there about how anyone is doing years after surgery. It gives me more hope. Thank you

I did not know I had endometriosis until after I had surgery for another issue. But it explains the pain and issues I have had for years.

I hope you answer comments on old videos! I am currently researching surgery myself. Birth control has changed my life for symptoms but I am getting a fibroid removed laparoscopically and thought why not remove endometriosis tissue. Did you see a specialist specifically for endometriosis. I am going to a dr who will do it and who can remove my fibroid but when I looked him up-he doesn't' appear to be a specialist. Do you know if you got the excision surgery or ablation? How long before you were up and running-I work in schools and I am hoping I can recover within a month to work with my students-very active job. Hope you answer, this video was so helpful!

Hey friend! Prayers to your and your health. I went to a specialist not close to me at all. He excised the endo as I had read that the ablation didn’t have as high of a success rate. It took me a good month to feel semi normal but not back to full capacity. I did to a video on my recovery post surgery. Praying for you 💗💗💗

Hi Chrissie! Do you think your endometriosis is fully gone now? Especially since you don’t have to use birth control? I am trying to find out if this surgery can keep this from coming back. I am waiting to hear back to see if I can get in for this surgery.

Yes definitely. No birth control for months and my periods are barely there. And I have 1 day of mild cramping the first day. Best decision I ever made.

Hi! How are you now? Hope it just keeps getting better and better ..esp now its about 4 years i guess post op? I've been struggling since 2013 but had not been to the doc..but since the pain is now driving me nuts i am really considering operation soon. I'm just concern about the effect after..i mean does the pain go back ..etc. So if it is not too much trouble.. may i ask if the surgery is the best decision you've done..i mean do you have better energy, life quality now than before it?

Hi! I know this video is super old, I hope you might see this! I live in Eastern Pennsylvania. I'm curious what surgeon/doctors you went to? Thanks in advance if you're able to answer!

Hello, my Endo is pretty bad as well it’s stretched to my bowls and bladder. My ovaries are intact, but I also don’t have children yet either. Just trying to look at best options. How was sex after surgery?

Omg my partial hysterectomy was a few years ago. Now I’m having the same pain and pain during intercourses , What is going on ? Did my endometriosis grow or did they not get it all ? I think I need to see another Gyne .. I can’t live like this . I don’t know what to do anymore really , so sick and tired of Feeling horrible . Do I need to do a exploratory surgery My back and stomach hurts bad and my legs Omg feel super painful and heavy . Should I take the birth control U think that might help ?

hey did you have your ovaries left in because having just the uterus removed wont stop the endo from growing. if you did, HRT will also still grow the endo. endo mostly stops when your body goes through menopause which only happens when the ovaries are suppressed or removed. hope that helps. there are ovary suppressants vs birth control.

How can you best support someone with endometriosis?

I think universally everyone would love patience and understanding, since one day you can feel in enough to do life while still in pain but then unexpectedly the next day can’t move. Offering practical help not just asking “How can I help?” Is a good one too. ❤️
