​@@mridul_sharmaa Usually I do makeup for myself..on my siblings wedding I dint book for me, i thought I could manage on my own..but literally very stressful though I am not a bride.. hurry burry too tensed arranging things i couldn't even put eyeliner properly.since my 9th sts am applying eyeliner but on that day nothing turned out properly..even eyeshadow blending everything was not upto the mark..so i would suggest u to book a good makeup artist.. please don't undergo any last minute stress.. get makeup trial before wedding..this will make u a super cool bride ...

My friend did her own makeup for all her functions except the wedding and sangeet. This was amazing because she was free and not committed to any one's time. She could get ready in 15 mins or she could take a lot more time. It was all depended on how late or how much time she had, and how much makeup she felt like doing. It was the best of both worlds. Do your own makeup for haldi, mehendi, etc. Hire someone for snageet and wedding

Just my opinion but i also think that you should not do your own makeup like it would really be hectic for you but your thinking is not wrong about the professional makeup artist but you can do one thing. You may ask one of your friend like janhvi does a very good makeup. Ofc if you guys are comfortable or any other friend of yours who does good makeup. Baki it's all on you ofc. If you hire a MUA give th3m your own makeup bcs they use various cheap products that they may not look good on your skin eg. Lipsticks, foundations , concealers, blushes , highlighters , bronser , compact, fixers because if you have skin issues and any skin related history so MUA won't care about it. Considering how much you love doing your own makeup I think it makes sense to do it by yourself on any one of the marriage functions as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. But make sure you do it on the day that would be the least chaotic. Also about things going wrong, please know that nothing will go wrong. You can do your own makeup for functions like haldi or poojan that’s before the wedding but not for the main wedding day! It will be tooooo hectic also another recommendation on the day of your wedding try not to keep any other function the same day! My parents talked to the pandit ji and my haldi was also kept a day before and on that particular day we were free so I just woke up late and arranged my dress and my mom’s dress and then we both timely left to get ready! I hope this helps ❤

I suggest you to get a trial on the day of a smaller function so that you can get a makeup look on that day and also know about the makeup done by ur MUA and .That will be cost effective. And after that you can change or ask ur MUA what u want ❤❤.

And mostly, I wrote this because all I wanna say is listen to what you WANT to do and trust your gut. That will make you happiest. This happens w me a lot that I wanna do my own dress or makeup or something and people advise differently out of their experience but everyone's interest, skillset, etc is different soooo... I'm the happiest when I do what I wanted to do. That's why I feel you'll enjoy it. I also feel that on special days like celebrations or anything we like going for what we feel most comfortable and safe with and if we are someone who mostly doesn't enjoy someone doing our makeup then hiring someone for it is something that will stress us out a lil. ❤

I would say do your own makeup for every other functions but not your wedding. You can take demos before booking an artist, demo makeup really helps. It helps the makeup artist to understand your skin properly. If you like the demo then you can final the artist.
