I heard the British mk 1 A is super rare to have because a lot of people will convert mk1 B’s with steel rims to become rimless. I want to acquire one but thing is, the steel helmet quality is less than the mk 1 B because it’s made out of sheet metal than an alloy of manganese like the Mk 1 B. But kewl nonetheless

I also have a relic helmet that was used by a farmer - as a feed scoop for his chickens, LOL. I got it Germany in the mid 1970s. Its an M34 and it was my first German helmet of too many over the years.

Cool collection. I have 123 helmets from a 1540 Burgonet, 1560s morion, 1640 English lobster and pike helmet to modern ones😅. Yeah the take up a lot of space along with 211 soft caps

Dutch soldier were paranoid that if they got it by a sniper on the badge it would be a cleaner penetration so some of them tried to remove it
