Tip for requesting bases: List them backward. Sounds dumb but if you do you're more likely to get your actual first choice.

I started watching your videos a couple months ago and it’s helped me so much! I’m 23 and recently married to my husband who just commissioned as an officer after college. So many people had opinions on us getting married so young and it’s been hard to ignore all the comments sometimes. I’m still learning the military life and love your videos!

I wish I had the same mindset as you when you guys decided to get married. My fiancé is in the coast Guard (this is his first year) and we started dating my senior and his junior year of high school. This year will be 6 years of dating and I wish we personally would’ve gotten married before he left for bootcamp BUT I was so concerned how my parents would think (mind that I just turned 23 when he joined) we knew we were going to get married eventually but my parents were so stuck on the fact that I dropped out of college previously, I had just lost my job and they thought I just wanted to follow him and be a wife Which wasn’t the case. AND I was also going to enlist and join the coast guard too (I started seeing his same recruiter ) because I wanted to join as well once I dropped out of college but I got cold feet after I went to MEPS to do my physical. I wanted to return back to school eventually tho. So I was too scared to tell them that we’re just going to get married. Because they wanted me to have goals and to have something under my own belt. Sooo I decided to enroll in a vocational school to help me get certified as a pharmacy technician (which only takes about 3 months) in my home state so they can see that I was trying to have a life and path for myself other than being a military wife. Although I know I’d have to get certified in each state but I wanted to take a step into something and that’s what I decided. I just wanted to prove to them that I could put my mind to something and do it for myself. I’ll be finishing that up next month and my Coastie and I will be getting married soon so I can finally join him on this journey. My parents approved of us getting married because they love him but they felt I had no goals since I didn’t finish school. I didn’t go through with joining the military. And I wish I would’ve just married him before he left and not cared as much what my parents think. Cus either way I know they would’ve still loved and supported me. Kudos to y’all doing what you want at 18 which is when you’re legally an adult! I was a wuss lol but it’s okay. We’ll be getting married soon and I cannot wait!

This is such a great video! i love all your videos!!!!❤️ My husband and I were pretty much in the same situation: our parents were pretty much the only supporters we had when we told everyone we were getting married at 18, and got married a little over a month ago on his graduation day! he’s still in tech school now so we haven’t REALLY experienced the “married life” yet! I actually live about 40 minutes away from Eglin!! but he just got orders so we will be headed to Nellis AFB, in Las Vegas, in December! I’m super nervous yet excited at the same time, if you know what I mean!!! I plan to start school through Tory University, if things go as planned. this whole moving situation has me STRESSED! hahaha! anyways, I just wanted to let you know that I love your videos, and they’ve helped me so much throughout this journey!!
@victoriafoxx16656 жыл бұрын
Thanks girly :) Congrats to you two! And that's so cool you live so close to Eglin! Small world :) My husband has always wanted to go to Nellis so congrats to you two! Lol I know what you mean about the moving part..just breathe and it will be over before you know it and once it's over you will be relieved :)

Will he ever deploy at this duty station? We’re going through our second deployment of this year. My husband will have missed 9 out of my sons first 12 months, he’ll also miss his first birthday. Deployment is no fun AT ALL! 😩
@victoriafoxx16656 жыл бұрын
Maybe! It depends on how long we are here. You never really know I guess! I am sorry for the situation you two are in with his deployments. I can't imagine how you guys feel about that :( But I pray it brings you two closer together and strengthens your love in the end.

it's nice if you like the hot weather all year and go to the beach all the time! we do not like the humidity, the traffic in the summer is unbearable because it is such a touristy area, and my husband's reason are more pertaining to his job in particular here but yeah! a lot of people love it here. just don't think it's for us :)

My bf is in basic training right now. I’ve been best friends with him for four years and together for two. He doesn’t stop talking about marriage and i do wanna get married but I know my parents won’t approve. I’m 18 he’s 20, I’m a freshman in college and want to pursue a career as a police officer but I’m scared if i get married and go live with him i won’t be able to do that. Any advice?

Milso Mia base housing does not come furnished at all but you may be able to find an apartment that has a washer and dryer in the unit!

Definitely don’t want an apartment LOL sick of them! Thank you for letting me know to save an extra 1200.00 bucks
@victoriafoxx16656 жыл бұрын
When we bought our washer and dryer we got a very basic set. They are the Amana brand I believe and they work great. We only paid about $400 a piece for them at the time!
@PromiscuousMia6 жыл бұрын
Victoria Foxx hopefully where we get stationed will be cheaper! Here in California the most basic set is still about 500 each. So fingers crossed!
@victoriafoxx16656 жыл бұрын
I know washer and dryers are expensive! Wherever you are going join the spouse page on FB and people will sell things too because people are always PCSing!

We aren't the biggest fan of the area! It's very touristy and doesn't feel very homey. If that makes sense! Also, we are from the north where we have 4 seasons and we like the cooler weather. But my husband also has things about his job here that he doesn't like! So its give and take. We get to live close to a beautiful beach which is nice too :)

Teacher education is so different. We didn’t have a ton of exams. It was more so creating activities, lesson plans or case studies.
@victoriafoxx16656 жыл бұрын
Did you ever take any online classes?
@courtneyhampton22666 жыл бұрын
Yes actually in one right now. With them I usually just try and get it done or a majority of it on Sunday when the content is first available. I am very self motivated and can handle online classes without going to class. Also reading is required or has been required for class but it’s not a lot after the first two or so classes after you learn the theories behind why.
