hey friends!! ☾ it has been SUCH a while since I posted a video. I fully intend to start posting again more regularly but in the meantime... I thought a chilled & chatty, sit-down video about my current shoe collection could be a fun re-entry into posting!

DISCLAIMER #2: I've built this collection over the last 13 + - years with hard work and savings, and this video is by no means intended to be a flex so I really hope it doesn't come across that way! it's meant to be a fun lil tour of my shoes because shoes are the best and it's taken years of curation and a fair amount of patience. now that that is out of the way :D

The jadon docs are so nice. i love mine so much after the first 2 months. i think the scuffs are giving them character. i like them a bit worn in.

I completely agree! the goal is to get them looking well worn in - i was just a bit shocked at the fake leather peeling off but i guess that's what you get for going that route. still adore them though

I definitely had the same problems with my oxford style Doc Martens! The one thing that helped a lot were stick on heel protectors! Not only keeps them from blistering, but takes up a little space and makes them fit more snug!

Have you tried putting bracelets or necklaces on the ankle of your last boots? I think that could look nice

My fave shoes are my Pisa leather Jadons in black. There’s a slash at the side of the sole (possibly my fault) and the insole moves around now which is super annoying (I need to get shoe glue) but omg they’re my fave, they were instantly comfortable and they’re just beautiful. I feel the most like myself when I wear them. I love your shoe collection! I too am a boots girly.

I wore my 1460s for the first time today, I've heard warmer weather helps the breaking in process better. So far just shin chaffing.

yeah - they're painful in the beginning, but that's a great point! also found that using a leather polish can help soften the leather and wearing thick socks for as long as possible. also bending down so your feet bend in the shoes helps to break in the front bit
