85s are awesome, but I'd honestly rather wear the 94s. I've had both in the Chicago colorway and there was a time where I was wearing the 94s 5 days a week no problem, they were comfortable and I wasn't scared of messing them up. The 85s on the other hand were really stiff and after every wear something would start to go wrong.

Tbr it’s hard to pick a all time grail for shoes just cause there’s so many but it’s either Dior navigators, black and white rick dunks, and margiela tabis. Like if I just had the money I’ll splurge on either one of those shoes and I’ll be very satisfied. If you cant find the alyx boots just go with one of the newer versions. They have models now that look really similar in color and shape but just have a different material besides leather

owen u should submerge the 1s in hydrogen peroxide. its less abrasive than rubbing alcohol. then throw em in the washing machine on cold and low spin if u need to. also the crumbly shit is from the sole; the outside of the sole is rubber and will not crumble but the cushioning inside does.
