Wow I'm not going to lie, despite liking their last release a lot I straight up forgot about this band's existence but I realize now that was a mistake because many parts of this song are phenomenal and I am now excited as hell for the upcoming release. The outro in particular is just gorgeous. I love that My Epic continue carving their own niche instead just derivation of similar ideas that's common amongst their peers.

All of my excitement for this album was just killed off after learning that Tooth And Nail Records is apparently NOT releasing LORIELLA on CD. 😖 As a hardcore CD loyalist and huge My Epic fan, I am absolutely crushed to learn that I will not be able to purchase this album now. 😞 I have no way to burn CD-Rs (they are garbage anyway) so the digital version is useless and I don’t buy vinyls either. This was one of the top 5 CDs I couldn’t wait to buy this year, and now that has all been blown to Hell because too many music fans just refuse to “get it” and simply buy into the hollow illusion of “convenience” that streaming falsely offers. Extremely frustrating!!

Yes, absolutely right! I fully agree with all you said. It really gets on my nerves when so many artists refuse to release cds now. I am tech illiterate so i have no clue how to download or burn music. I’m old school, grew up in the 80s, have a massive cd and vinyl collection, although i only listen to old country, jazz, and classic rock on vinyl. I want all my modern music on cd. So frustrating.

@@shaydame0777 I don’t understand it. CDs are much less expensive to make than vinyls are, so it makes no sense to deliberately exclude a subset of fans who can ONLY buy CD. They could have simply done a super limited run of this on CD, like even just pressing 50-100 CDs to sell to those of us who need CD. I can’t imagine a scenario where those wouldn’t sell out (especially becoming collectors items). I really hope enough people will make noise so that Tooth & Nail will reconsider this terrible decision.

This one lyric is the one I had some trouble with. As Christians we are the first to recognize our own guilt, pulling the plank from our own eye before pointing out the splinter in someone else’s. I’m probably missing the intended meaning, but that was the one line where I was like “huh?”

@@zkhyde my assumption is that this is referring to the idea that Jesus didn’t partially save us by dying for our sins, but rather WHOLLY saves us. The sacrifice of Christ on the cross is fully sufficient for our salvation and redemption. So there’s peace in knowing that our salvation isn’t reliant on our ability to reconcile the blame/sin. Rather we rejoice and repent as a response to God’s grace through the death and resurrection of Jesus.
