Try the Black Girl Sunscreen brand, it is my absolute favorite! You won’t get that white cast and I’ve tried several different sunscreens. This was one of my favorites!

Steam your face a few times with a white rag and have you ever tried to use dove sensitive unscented bar, wash with cold water in circular motion for 60 seconds, and of course rinse, and put a super cold white rag on your face 2 or 3 times. Use ambi cream on those dark spots. Put a little on each dark spot every night and don’t rub it in let it sit on the spots. Your face will clear up.

Hey sis! If you’re looking for a sunscreen that doesn’t leave a white caste and also dries down matte, I use Lotus Herbal UV screen mattegel. It’s SPF 50 and 8€ on Amazon! Try the Neutrogena Healthy Defense SPF 50! I worked in derm for 2 years and it was the best for patients of color- never gave a white caste, I use it myself!

A lot of Korean and Japanese sunscreens don't have a white cast or make you ashy. They're also super lightweight. You can find some on Yesstyle. Biore, Purito Missha make some really good ones. Just avoid the ones that have alcohol or fragrance/essential oils.

Hi Octavia - a recommendation that Dermalogica Prisma Protect sunscreen works really well and doesn’t seem to leave a white cast. It works very well under makeup also. It’s a little pricey but worth it!

I think I might be a shade or so darker than you and the neutrogena healthy defense daily moisturizer (spf 50) doesn’t leave a tint at all on me. It’s been a blessing because I struggled forever to find one that wouldn’t.

Hi Octavia, loved this video! If you’re looking for a sunscreen that doesn’t leave that cast, I recommend the Supergoop brand. I use the ‘unseen sunscreen’ from their brand which is great to use under makeup, but I use it even when I don’t wear makeup and it literally looks like I have nothing on. You should check them out! 😊

Look for the caudalie brightening serum, you will see all your darkspots/hyperpigmentation fading... I swear by it

And as for sunscreen try the la roche posay effaclar or even the one from caudalie you won’t get any white cast.. this french brands are amazing... look them up
