it's the pools ph levels that change especially when it rains. when it rains you just need to double the chlorine amount. also, if you go to a pool supply store they will give you a bottle so you van take a sample of the pool water and they will tell you what's lacking in it and they sell it there too. Also, here in Florida we put the meshes over the pool so that debris doesnt fall into the pool makes it easier to clean up, and the fence around the pool is to prevent anyone from falling in , especially little kids. We’ve drained our pool 3 times now in AZ, but it still turns green EVERY single time it rains and it takes a week or two to clear up. If you have a pool cover, that helps so much. Otherwise just dump a bunch of chlorine in it and it helps a lot! Leslie’s pool supply makes a perfect clear water additive and it has kept ours clear now after the last 2 rains!

Y'all just need to go to a pool store, get some water test strips, and adjust the pool accordingly to the test strips. If it's a chlorine pool, you may need to add chlorine. I wouldn't waste your time and money emptying it. Talk to pool people
