I like that you have a healthy mindset. It’s not always positive or negative and I think you have struck a good balance. We do need to feel negative emotions in order to process trauma and big life changes (good or not so good). Sometimes you make lemonade and sometimes you squeeze a lemon and it sprays you in the eye. All feelings are allowed and healthy to express.

I’m weary of disney but I love how accommodating they are for disabilities! I went during uca nationals a month after an acl surgery so I was in a wheelchair in the park. Even with my bionic leg I was shocked at how many I was able to go on, and seeing this! They’re all about the magic for everyone. What an amazing video mak!

I'm so happy you could go! I'm 65 and I've never been to Disney. In the 1960's I used to watch the Disney show, every Sunday night at 7pm. Walt Disney would host. It was a 5 star program!! C-YA Sunshine🙂☺️🌈🕊️

You are amazing young lady...I live off grid in the Rockies. Last night I was able to catch a news program out if SLC Ut. on KSL TV. The program was about a young lady , also a Cheerleader that broke her neck in two places. She's not yet gone to rehab., but it made me think of you and your family. I so wanted to put you both in contact with one another. But I truly felt you could bless her and her family so very much. Blessings sent awesome soul.

My late husband(he passed young, I feel super old saying that), his uncle is paralyzed on the left side of his body and they used to joke that going with him to theme parks was awesome because they got to "skip" lines, there's a separate line at Cedar Point for people who are disabled and if I remember correctly you basically would check in at a ride and they would be like "ok come back in ten minutes" and you go straight to the front, so you could go ride another ride while waiting the ten minutes if you timed it out right and you never had to wait in line. His story is amazing honestly. When he(the uncle) was in his early 20s, he had just come home from the military and found out that his wife was cheating on him. He was struggling with depression and this kind of pushed him to the edge. He got drunk and decided to end his own life. He shot himself in the head and his little brother found him. The medics arrived, they all knew him as his dad was a firefighter at the department that responded and they were quite sure he had passed. Suddenly one of the medics screamed that he felt a pulse, it was barely there but they got a helicopter and flew him to the hospital. He flatlined multiple times and was in a coma for over a month. He woke up and was paralyzed but grateful to be alive. By the time I met him when I was 14, he had been paralyzed for 10 years. He was no longer in a wheelchair, he could walk by dragging/limping his left leg but still had very limited movement in his left arm. He was the happiest person and I think it's because he knew he shouldn't have survived at all, he was grateful to still be here. He had a lot of struggles in the early days after the attempt and had horrible seizures but they were eventually able to control that with medications. He bowls, hes super active and has so many friends and is part of a horseshoe league and is overall just a really great guy.

I had a harder time (so it seems) with getting on rides with my disability and I do not use a wheelchair. I have a very well behaved service dog and got the DAS pass but then we didn’t get to go on rides because apparently you have to book all rides in advance even though I thought the DAS was supposed to be a fast pass … it was very confusing and I think the updated technology made things worse and more complicated.

Busch Gardens are the best imo, as they give you virtual wait times if you have a disability pass from guest services. I personally can't wait in long lines even if I'm in a chair, so it's hugely helpful for me. ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It was a hypothetical "what would you do if she couldn't walk" situation. This kid, who played rugby and lifted weights, was struggling A LOT.
