I really hope Oden's Eye does more collections like this one too, it would be so cool seeing what collaborators from other cultures in the world decide to do with their palette's theme and colour story. I'd be most excited to see what creators from Egypt, Greece and Japan would do for their palettes (big mythologies and lots of folktales to work with from those three in particular). I come from England (so not a massive amount of mythical creatures outside of harry potter) but a Faye or Kelpie palette could be interesting.

I am half asian and the asian rep, me being the year of the dragon and the colour story meant this one was a must purchase for me! Also the nerdy Pokemon names got me I love that! a thing no one really talks about it that most collabs from bigger/mainstream brands aren’t really in the control of the collaborator. they basically just pick from a few preset ideas and maybe tweak it a little. it’s good to know that indie brands do give more creative control, so it’s their true vision.

Another thing that makes Red Dragon different from other Chinese New Year-themed releases is that it was done with cultural sensitivity and your artistry at the forefront. Everything about this palette screams "Judy" to me--from the peachy mattes, the buildable shimmers (for a subtler look) to the dark brown to smoke out a wing! Harry was right, the red dragon is iconic and is recognizable even to people who have some Chinese in them but don't necessarily practice Chinese traditions anymore because of mixed ancestries (like myself). It's personal and universal at the same time and that's what I love about your creation ❤️ It's been more than seven days since I ordered my Red Dragon, I literally can't wait for it to arrive! Congratulations again, Judy! And by all means, please do looks with your masterpiece until all stocks are gone 😍

I really love your style because, even with intense make up looks, doesn't seem like overproduced or cakey or with layers and layers that look like a blurry cartoon of oneself and I love that. First things first your palette looks amazing. Nine tailed fox would’ve been super cool too because it’s usually a white fox with black tips on its tail (considered more rare and beautiful than your standard orange foxes). And since it’s a seductress you could’ve done a really themed-out smoke show with an Asian heritage twist type of palette, which odens eye doesn’t have at all!
