That's actually a shitty translation, the CN is literally just: 'The impossible in the Dreamscape is not to die, but rather to slumber' I don't know why they translated it into dormancy but I guess the translation teams have always been sort of off from Hoyo.

I really love how they answered the question of “Why do we live just to die”. The first step to overcoming nihility is to accept it. Accept that it’s pointless. What even is the point of living if it’s to die in the end? What’s the point of doing anything if it’s just to die? There isn’t. But does that even matter? Do it. Do what you want with your life. There’s so much you can do in such a short span of time. Maybe you’ll find a different answer to the question at the end.

You are correct, the word used is ‘皮囊', a phrase that refers to one's appearance, made up from the characters for 'skin' and 'bag', both words of the variety with negative connotations. It's usually used to refer to one's appearance with a heavy connotation to the 'physical' element, as well as... uncouth implications. You don't compliment someone with this word. The only possibility for a sentence with this word in it to mean is an insult, or used to degrade.

Even if it's late, I just wanna clarify that in the first Aventurine flashback, when the IPC Broadcast is saying "very few intelligent species have made this planet (Sigonia-IV) their home", they don't mean it in a "The people of Sigonia-IV aren't intelligent" way, they mean "This planet is so inhospitable that intelligent lifeforms (people) can barely survive on Sigonia-IV"

So Lorie. There's some localisation issues at the big reveal involving Galagher. In the JP and CN version, Sunday refers to Gallagher as a "Minion of thr Enigmata" For lore context, the Path of Enigmata and it's Aeon, Mythus are the opposite of Nous the Erudition. If those who walk the Path of Erudition seek to unravel the truth of the universe and gain more knowledge, those of the Enigmata seek to obscure knowledge. For example, the History Fictionologists, go around the universe and infiltrate large organisations to sabotage or just outright destroy historical records, while the Riddlers seek to utterly ruin language and linguistics Their reputation is so bad, they are as infamous as the Anti-Matter Legion. If the Legion destroys planets and their people, then the Fictionologists destroys the legacies of those people

I personally take Dr. Ratio's note to mean that he shouldn't be dormant, because that would be 'death' (if he is dormant, he won't return back, so he is as good as dead to the real world), and then gives him encouragement. It feels like that note helped Aventurine strengthen his resolve to live and do his best to return - where as before he didn't really care. EDIT: obviously, it could mean something else, or it could mean this and something else.

The script not saying anything about Acheron doesn't mean she's going to die, cause it would still have the details of her death and leading up to it, like the epic Aventurine fight. It means that she seems to barely exist since she's an emanator of Nihility, so it's hard to remember her or perceive her is she doesn't want you to. Even Elio can't read her fate.

the whole 2.1 story part is them just selling aventurine cause lets face it most people were gonna skip after blasting all their resources on acheron but after this very efective marketing move ive seen many people get converted. it was a long ass 2.1 story but the only part that was important was the last few scenes. i liked it tho, it was well done and got people invested. in comparison to xianzhou penacony is already league ahead. the difference in story writer is clear.
