I don't expect them to text every 30 mins because that could take up a ton of time and they are far too busy to think about that for everything they fix. I love the texting instead of calls but they do need to be more specific and quicker. But I do agree with the rest of your whole video. Great one as usual. I am in the US but it's still about the same. I just had to bring mine in to get winter tires and it was a decent experience. But when they plug in the car after service, I found out it's just a smaller version of a supercharger. So I was charged $6.90 for 90 miles of range. So expensive and seems like robbery as it should just be free.

Service at Chester for me was perfect and truly contactless. They didn't need my card because they can get in (and bypass pin2drive) with their computer. Your experience with notts was very similar to my experience at Stockport, poor communication and left hand not communicating with the right hand. I was told I had to return a loan car on a Thursday 10am because they needed it for another customer, they told me this at 18:00 the Wednesday evening!! I ended up ringing in sick for work on Thursday and having to work my day off on the Saturday, ruining what should have been a bank holiday 3 day weekend. PROPERLY angered me. Some performance cars got shipped without the spoiler and it was sent out later for owners to fit themselves. Early model 3s suffered from suspension arm problems causing creaking/knocking, fixed under warranty.

You usually drop a car off earlier and then it takes amount of time to do a service. Usually services aren't like MOTs where you drop it off at say 10am and it's ready by 10:45am. Services are usually a 'drop of at 8am and we'll content you when its ready' deal

Crazy how different/same this service appointment was than mine (within a week of delivery too). I had my M3LR delivered some bad squeaks. After scheduling, I tried to drop off my car the day of my appointment, but the lot was full and was told to 'see if you can find a spot' with a shrug and found one after 15 minutes of circling the parking lot (somebody finally left). No loaner was offered, only Uber credits. My car then sat in the spot I left it for 36 hours before it was looked it. Luckily the repairs didn't take too long, but unfortunately they only kind of fixed the squeaks and a new loud buzzing has now appeared. I still love my car and knew what to expect with Teslas, but they really need to sort out their service process, or deliver cars with better build quality instead of rushing to pump out as many cars at the end of the quarter as possible.

One thing they should do (especially when the cars cost that much) is to have pickup/dropoff for the car. They would drive the curtosy car to you and take yours back and then vice-versa when done. They could make it a chargeable option instead of you dropping it off/picking it up. They could also just charge the fuel for all 4 journeys to your supercharger miles left or something. Obviously this wouldn't be the case if your car is not in a safe drivable condition (although if that's the case you logically wouldn't drive it yourself)

I think the miscommunication on when you could pick up the car shouldnt have happened. For one, I would expect to know beforehand if they required me to pick up and return the courtesy car within 24 hours, since most people do not have that flexible of a schedule, even before sending it in for servicing. Secondly I totally would not have questioned the Monday -Friday timeslot that the first sms gave.
@pip54612 жыл бұрын
Apart from you not checking your phone for the code, it looked like a well-organized service appointment with a courtesy car ready and waiting. In most "normal" ice garages, you've either got to wait or make your own arrangements for transportation. Out of interest, did you manage to check the mileometer (mileage) on the loan car.? because of the odd noises. It's probably been thrashed and driven badly (not by you) by other customers and sustained more than average wear & tear.
@Stripestore2 жыл бұрын
He mentions they did not give him this code until he rang the bell and inquired the first time. Which makes it seem that they forgot to give the code until he asked about it. Either way, mistakes happen, this wouldn’t be the worst dealer service experience I’ve had.

I’ve used Tesla Nottingham and I must admit they are far better than Tesla Digbeth in Birmingham. I took mine to Nottingham for a service back in September. One thing which I did notice was different from your experience was that I didn’t leave my key card with them and when I took the car back I had one time pin code to enter to drive off. Normally with the loan car the pin code is with the card key. They also have a really good Chauffeur service Go Zero that I can also recommend but probably only for the Nottingham area. They have ANPR cameras on the entrance which is how they you’ve arrived. 😃 Overall I think this is one of the better Tesla Service centres and I’m just glad it’s local.
