You think they haven't wrapped her entire visit in propoganda? She wouldn't be there allowed to do all she's been allow3d to without a taliban guide being with her most of the time. They are wrapping it up in pretty packaging. Just like look at the movie theater she showed they blew up, people can't even watch movies there. She even said woman constantly begged her to take their children.

Maryjane, I live in Washington, D.C. It’s an international city, and as you probably know, many people from all over the world live here. I love frequenting the many restaurants that reflect the cuisines from different parts of the world. I must say that the restaurants owned by Afghani ex-pats are probably some of the best I frequent. The food is always delicious and magnificently prepared, but the service the staff gives to its patrons is unbelievably gracious and very friendly.

The first thing the Taliban did was promise to clean the streets and they gave locals warnings that if anyone is caught littering, they will be fined. People still throw it in the rivers which annoys me a lot but hopefully this will be stopped soon.

this video is about to blow up,.,mary jane you have no idea the great work you are doing in following your heart in traveling. you are shinning light in dark places.,.Afghanistan is a beautiful holy place,i think the energy of the taliban you felt was/is pure love,.and those who go to thier country and abuses the resources of their home anyone with a right mind would need to defend thier home especially if some one has taken advantage of your pure kindness. they all are confident in saying that you are safe because they work in harmony because they take lies, cheating and stealing as an actual sin. I would love to go to Afghanistan to be able to experience that love and take it with me in where ever i go.

While I agree with this statment... do you not remember the entire country on airstrip literally jumping on planes that were taking off when the taliban took over? There is a reason people were in so much fear. There is no doubt the afghan people are beautiful just as any people are. There gov doesn't define the entire population but I think it's dangerous for her to soften the view on the taliban. Woman can't even continue education. They tore down pictures at womans salons and probably the entire solar, just as they blew the movie theater up. They think God wouldn't want humans to have any fun experience. A movie? They use to not be able to fly kites. God wants humanity to be happy and thrive while having empathy for others and forgiving. It seems it's something they don't hace is empathy for others

Plz don't be fooled by the media especially West who have an agenda, it's the same for all women, afgan people are Muslim so they follow Islamic law, which mandate men to lower their gaze and women to cover, if both parties play their parts then you won't have objectification of women. The people are very traditional with traditional roles and values for both men and women. This was the same case in West but a bunch of men wanted women to join the work force so they can be taxed (thats how feminism came to be ), women is West I advise that you do a deep dive into feminism and how it really started.

Please be sure to fit saunas and heated pools to your travel itinerary. It helps with healing, i suffered a similar accident. Cold places makes my bones ache lol. Take it easy and use some braces or compression stuff when walking. Glad you have a wonderful experience with the people ❤

This is confusing for me….I’m very happy everything went well, but it’s interesting that the traveling sites heavily advise against visiting there and that wasn’t her experience. I’ve been wanting to visit my family in Mexico and the traveling sites advise the same as they do for Afghanistan, except that in this case my family says it really is dangerous for tourists. So the traveling sites are correct for Mexico, especially where I want to travel.

What part of Mexico do you want to travel? I go to Mexico all the time and it is not a big deal and I go to a place where there is a cartel war.

I've backpacked through Mexico a couple times for months at a time and have never really had an issue. And I'm a gringo hah.

i'm almost willing to say that the penal system in Afghanistan sounds so strict that people would not dare to act up. Unlike some other places...
