I had ordered broken heart from ugaao-it was hood for sometime but didn’t survive. So I stopped n preferred local nurseries ( which Delhi NCR has in good numbers). Was not aware that I can seek help. Time to try again. Love the way you explain, it motivates me to get more n more involved in gardening. For me gardening is actually a stress buster

What was the soil type of broken heart plant? Online shopping has always disappointed me. I have shopped twice online in last two years. None of the plants survived. Once it was soil issue, other time plants came with fungal attack which vendor denied. I am not too optimistic about online plant shopping.

That’s a selloum, not a Xanadu, I have both plants in my home. I was looking for selloum for a long time, was not available in any of my local nursery or online, even in Ugaoo it was out of stock for long time. When it became available in ugaoo, I ordered it immediately, ₹1200. But I must say, Ugaoo packaging is really good.

Should I place the plant with pot in self-watering planter or the plant should be removed from original pot and planted directly in the new planter. Kindly help!

I placed an order with Ugaoo and waited a long time for delivery. When the delivery was finally scheduled, it was canceled without any reason or contact from Ugaoo or their delivery partner. I tried to expedite the delivery by calling, messaging, raising queries, and even sending WhatsApp messages, but it took two business days just to reach their customer service. Concerned that the plants wouldn’t be in good condition after such delays, I decided to cancel the order. Based on this frustrating experience, I wouldn't recommend relying on Ugaoo.

What is their soil type in pots? Is it 100% red soil in potted plants? Or is it cocopeat mixed or what? Because I do not have a good experience with red soil in North India. These plants with extensive root systems need to be watered twice daily in dry hot summers of Delhi. I am a frequent traveller. So I always seek soil which will survive moisture for 3 days indoors. I have lost countless plants in red soil. And if I change soil, many don't survive that either.

Hi, some are in cocpeat and some in Red soil. I do agree that plants in Red soil need different care. Will create a video on how to carefully shift plants from Red soil to Normal soil.

Hey, just saw your comment and would like to give you a suggestion that as you have said you travel more and you have dry and hot conditions, cocopeat will be the best thing for you. All those indoor ready to use pottixng mix are for like general weathers and you can amend it or make it more convenient for your climate by using other things. Ugaoo's red soil is really good and what you can do it on mixing is use half parts for cocopeat and the other half mix it with red garden soil of ugaoo ,vermicompost. For my plants that I'm scared for root rot(I don't think you would have because of dry climate) on that said mix I add some perlite and gravel(you can also use vermiculite as well but check once yourself about this) you can try this. Another trick I've just learned few days ago is that don't throw out those sphagnum mosses. Mosses greatly retain moisture. Either you can mix those mosses in potting soil or let them be the way they are there. It works as mulching I think this trick would be great for you. Also try avoiding terracotta pots too.

They've not put holes on the box ! I ordered from somewhere, they'd put holes for air to pass.. amd the packaging was single .. I am trying to understand why this has been packed like this .. it looks nice, but if it takes time to deliver; wouldn't the plant die !

Hi, Thanks. I have not done any paid promotion till now. So people are purchasing plants online and they are not at all satisfied with the plants, hence were asking me to review the ugaoo plants. No doubt these plants from ugaoo are costly, may be because of quality, delivery, packaging etc. I always ask people to visit nursery first and then check this online.

Me too. I get excited when I see online plant shopping videos. But whenever I have ordered, I felt ripped off. These sites send best of the stuff to KZbin influencers to attract people like us. Then they rip people like us. Either the plant will be a weakling, or damaged or something. Be careful and order limited stuff initially. Recently I was ripped off 1000 bucks, so advising you.
