My Bruv, D.R. Period Is Speaking His Complete Truth!!! I remember meeting him at a dollar store down in the Atlantic City area back in like 2010 and we just chopped it up based on him seeing my son in his youth football uniform. We exchanged names, and I’m like, Fam, I know this name. He laughed and said, “you’re probably thinking of J. Period” I said, No..I DJ, and I’m telling you, I Know that name. Then it hit me and I said, M.O.P & Smooth The Hustler!!!! He laughed and said, “Yeah, that’s me. You have a good sense of music” We exchanged numbers and we’ve been fly to this day. Peace To Math And The Team For Another FYR Interview

D. R. gave me my first shot as a young producer. I played a beat tape for him and he liked it. about a week later he called me and asked me to come to the studio.. I remember out of respect he spoke to my mom to let her know where I was gonna be. I think him talking to my mom helped me out alot because she could kind of understood I wasn't just in my room playing around with her old records and my drum machines.

DR Period us taking me way back to the early to mid-80s... He's one of the few guys that really knows what was going on back at the early days of hip hop music. He's basically taking us through the back door of what was really happening!!! Sleeping bag records boy do I remember that label!! I'm loving this. Growing up in the Bronx in the 70s, I'm really appreciating his knowledge. 🔥🔥 Somebody protect this guy he's a national hip hop treasure! Btw, MOP joint..... I heard the flush!!! 😅

As a Nigerian, i can sit with J. period all day, he is such a story teller comedically. i remember seeing him on youtube when youtube first came out years ago, he was in studio looking all animated with them dope ass beats . What i learn from this man is u have to be able to sell yourself with the talent to match your talk only then you can talk that talk.
