My EZ30D H6 5MT Vanagon is almost ready to drive

Only a few things away from my 1985 Vanagon being on the road with its new STRONGER HEART. A JDM EZ30 H6 and a different Reversed 5MT
I do miss the original 1.9L and 4 speed, having to plan routes at lower speeds so it wasn't screaming for mercy.
Then, I changed to the EJ25 and 5MT which was a perfect fit!
Now for some random reason I chose to go further beyond...

Subarugears conversion kit, I rebuilt the transmission to save cost. I've done a few Subaru conversions and 5mt kits.

Nice conversion. I just bought a 2001 Outback with the H6. I have a guy in town (Western Canada) that does conversion but says that he doesn't recommend the H6. What are your thoughts and how costly is it to convert a 5MT or can you use the bus tranny?

For VW installation, the original transmission can work, but only if not drag racing or driving hard. Best to at least rebuild the transmission and depending on the unit, change the gearing. Best transmission forca Subaru Conversion is a Subaru transmission. Gearing is much better for daily life and travel. Can take much more power as well. The downside however, is the proprietary Reversed ring and Pinion from Subarugears, which commonly needs to be sent out for treatment to be properly Hardened. Regardless, I prefer the Subaru 5mt to ALL VW transmissions as they can be rebuilt for much less than the 091 and 094 Type2/Vanagon 4 speeds.

I can do harness modification myself, but I typically have a trusted friend do it to save time. Here is their website: avsubaruconversions.com/ Modified factory Subaru harness. No special ECU.

What year engine and harness. And who made harness

Engine is a 2001 EZ30D JDM Import. Harness and ECU are 2001 Legacy Outback set for Manual instead of Automatic and cut down by AV Conversions (Jeff Robenolt) in Wisconsin. While I can modify harnesses and make parts, I prefer to support friends' businesses.
