I am not a religious person myself but I think Luke really exemplifies a Christ-like Christian. He's a great ambassador for his faith and his goodness and authenticity shines through all the time.

Non-theist here, I thought the same thing. Especially when he said his congregation takes turns sharing their own voices. As a fellow member of Luke's church, he is a prime example of what it means to be a follower of Christ and his teachings. This is amazing. I’ve been avidly enjoying your videos for a few months now and you’re the only outdoor/survival channel that I follow and I had no idea why I enjoyed your content so much. Got out of the Marines earlier this year. I saw clips of Luke's solos adventures and I was so intrigued. I found his youtube channel, after I was in the process of reinforcing my faith in Jesus. I watch a lot of his Outdoor Boys videos only because I love how he gets creative in Busch camping and roughing it out in the middle of nowhere on the mountains. Amazing videos and lots of knowledge. I also lived in Utah, but not by choice. They are majority LDS, but my faith is also strong too. Just not LDS. I respect their practice up there and I have a lot of good friends that are LDS. They understand me and I understand them. We don’t pressure each other and really enjoy attending each other’s church events. In the end, we all serve God.

I grew up LDS here in Salt Lake, and when I started watching Outdoor Boys, I had a feeling Luke was Mormon. The earnest kindness mixed with sharp, tough, outdoor savvy- reminds me of my extended family and young-men’s leaders who i looked up to. I ended up leaving the religion, and am very thankful that I did, because it’s the right path for me, and many others. Likewise, the "Three Kings" did not use the 1611 KJV to find the young Messiah. Yet, they found him, praised him, worshiped him, and gave him valueable gifts of admiration. The Grace of God is so apparent in people - we're free to be fully ourselves when we accept Christ! and I had always respected and agreed with your decision to keep faith largely outside the scope of Outdoor Boys, but always wished there was a platform for you to share your faith, because I truly believe (and see in your marriage!) that unity through Christ is the only way to live in peace and with Love. Have been watching you for a while. I needed this video. Found Christ 1 & 3/4 years ago, was a lifelong Atheist before that. NDEs kept popping up in my KZbin feed and I started watching every single one I could get my hands on. Dropped to my knees one night and cried out to Jesus Christ and he actually answered me. Sanctification is a long, tough, drawn out process where you change yourself at the basest of levels. Hit a rut in the last few weeks / month - gotta remind myself I can commit no sin to remove me from Gods Grace (well except blaspheming the holy spirit for the entirety of my life but that would never happen. I agree that LDS are super nice people, but their church teaches a different Christ from the Christ of the Bible and a different Gospel from the Gospel of the Bible.
