ive bleach my hair before from black to blondish and it does damage your hair no doubt about it but there are products and treatments that really help ;)

It honestly depends on who does your hair and what they use on it to dye it. Usually if you have darker hair you want to slowly change to blonde or else it will dramatically dry your hair out as well as damage it. :)
