First off, I love your videos. But man, you really need to sell off some of those movies. Of course, keep your signed copies and the movies you love. But you have to have duplicates, so sell those off. And you know some of those movies you are never going to pop in again, sell those too. (and you have a bunch of sealed copies of movies!)

Quality versus quantity. Spending to much time with possessions. Hoarding digital media. Had a stroke in 2015. Priorities changed. I had to part with literally 2to 3 tons of what I thought was important. I kept everything which was wrong. At one time I had 2000 VHS tapes. I'm 51 now and I reduced it to40 tapes. Most were falling apart. Hope you can find balance in your possessions.. I am working after 4 years still throwing out stuff. I have turned a corner. One thing I realize is how much time it would take to have watched all my VHS tapes and dvds. Remember some of the tapes were the 10 hour tapes. It would take years to watch all of them. 😎Good Video

I see a lot of people telling Brendan to sell his excess stuff, and maybe that isn't a bad idea if it is causing friction with his family. I have had a huge vinyl collection that built up over the years and people said I should offload some of it. But I held on to most of it and now it's worth a bomb. I'm not sure dvds/blurays will be the same in future, except rarities and stuff like his signed movies.

I'm not one to criticize someone's movie collection, since mine is pretty huge. But keeping things on dvd that you have already replaced on Blu Ray. That shit ain't right. You need to round up everything you've got on dvd that has been upgraded to Blu and take it all to Amoeba Records and trade that shit in for money or store credit.

My collection got out of hand so I started putting stuff that was in standard Amrays into small CD sized PVC envelopes and the covers all in a folder. I have about ten boxes of DVDs stored that way and it works... if you're organised! Those Amray cases are a complete waste of space. All my box sets and special editions are still in original cases though.

my poor new youtuber ...I think with the passing of his father and poss working at blockbuster (like maybe that is when something traumatic life event occurred) I believe he got stuck emotionally. Its unfortunate bc he is such a beautiful person, inside and yes OUT for all the haters. And I don't mean to judge but I can imagine what he went through with his father and being overweight had to be hard and probably stunted his emotional development and collecting all these dvds are a coping mechanism. I really like you and enjoy your content very much, I support you. However I do agree with the commenters who are suggesting you sell your collection. Think about it, what's the point of owning all those DVD's if you aren't going to watch them that much? I only buy movies if I know I am going to rewatch them over and over. However this is no longer collecting, it's an compulsion. It's almost unhealthy man, so like I said; I would sell basically every DVD you own, or donate them to Goodwill. Let your family enjoy their living room, than sell on movies you don't enjoy or donate them. Than keep the movies you like very much and would love to keep in your room shelves. Therefore, eliminating the problem with your family and clearing up the house. Plus you'll get a good amount of extra cash, which you can put towards many things like... A apartment, more Blu-Ray's, fix up your room(better setup for reviews, videos, etc.) so you don't have to pace around while explaining something. Heck you can buy a new camera! The decision is ultimately yours and I will support what ever you choose, as many other fans will.

How could you ever have enough time to watch all those movies? I mean a home is to come home to and feel comfort, nice and cozy but heck when you come home and feel like its a movie store or some type of movie warehouse. I got rid of my dvd collection long ago, around 400 dvd's and I didnt get much for them, so really they dont keep value at all. I think I have like 5 blu-ray movies and they are my 5 top fav. in the world, thats all I need. Family first, career second, entertainment last. But everyone has a choice in life. Sometime you have to get priorities in life together.

You should just buy multiple dvd binders and just put your discs in there. You will still have your DVDs but you will save a lot of shelf space without the dvd cases on the shelf. More room for important things like family photos.

This is a massive collection but it becomes a fire hazard or like what happened to me I lost a huge collection in a flood and it was hard to see everything ruined and not just movies but video games and systems CDs and collectables and I lost it all and I've gotten a few things again and I hate thinking about it but you could downsize alot more than that box and donate it because people lose stuff alot due to flooding fire Xct.. and when you lose everything the littlest things mean the most especially from complete strangers and someone got me several seasons of S.O.A and that meant the world to me and I know I kinda rambled on but it's just a thought
