Not maithili it's angika.. Belongs south eastern Bihar... maithili is spoken in North eastern part...which is almost similar to Nepali..

Regarding with Nepali lang Similarities .. timilai kasto chha? and Ahaan Kehan chhi? .. alot difference in speaking and writing too. Thats why Nepali and maithili are considered as Languages and rest are dialects coz of their grammar and lipi(Writing System). Angika and Bajjika are dialects of Maithili (Tirhuta). People nowadays differentiate both separately coz of Ang and Braj pradesh history but fact is Tirhuta is much more older.
