@@arman2129 if you had to sit through a French movie that is translated into English or vice-versa, you wouldn't say that. I am fluent in English and French. Movies are extremely poorly translated. Subtitles are much better. Also, in the case of this documentary, the FLQ were extremely anti-English. Wouldn't make sense to have it in English.

Well, for once, being from Québec and speaking French is a big asset when it comes to this video. 😅 I think they should translate and dub it instead of having subtitles... It would make it more accessible. I don't understand why I haven't seen this before though. I had family that were somewhat involved with the FLQ in the 70s. Crazy stories, crazy times. Thanks for the upload!

What an incredible journey for democracy. Paul Rose and his family gave up soo many of their years to fight corruption in colonialism. His mother was such an incredible woman encouraging her children while in the midst of poverty. She realised the importance of education to get a voice out there and make a difference for not only her own family but every family suffering at the hands of tyranny. Thank you for sharing. X

French and English are equal languages in Canada ever since the Official Languages Act was passed in 1969. There's no danger of the French language dying off. They are both the official languages of Canada having preferred status in law above all other languages.
