Heart wrenching to hear about the ups and downs that the first wife and children had to grow up in silent suffering and quiet dignity. It is unfortunate that the great Bhimsen Joshi ji remarried and began life anew while his descendants from a previous marriage were left to fend for themselves. Today, his eldest son Shri.Raghavendra Bhimsen Joshi and his younger brother Shri. Anand Bhimsen Joshi have established themselves creditably and have won numerous hearts and goodwill for their hard earned success.I Salute the members of this family...

@manas banerjee. at least pundit bhimsen joshi was okay in that sense. he only did one time. Pundit bhimsen joshi did lot of jugalbandis with Carnatic vocalist vidwan balamuralikrishna, and vidwan balamuralikrishna had 5 wives. I am not even sure how that vidwan balamurali could do that as am pretty sure divorce/separation or whatever would've been pretty hard in India those days.
