+cattlemangler washed-up: Stephen Hawking is very much alive; check your facts and give it a rest. This video is to honor his work in physics and in leading his family, especially impressive with his physical disabilities.

Bill Windsor how do you know?! Photoshop and CGI fool YOU on a daily basis. And that's a fact jack! Idk if he's dead or alive BUT I do know that no damn computer is reading his thoughts, and that he's just a TOOL for the great religion of Scientism.
@norafarron2027 жыл бұрын
Travis-2313 There's no such thing as religion of Scientism. People don't worship science. Why does everything have to be a religion? If you meant Scientology,then that is different.

Travis-2313 actually dipshit.... he uses an infrared sensor in his glasses to control the computer with small movements of his facial muscles. He's also one of the best minds human kind has ever had.

Unknown Wisdom and opinions are all part of mental perceptions and state of maturity. Your definition of ‘de way’, either physically or emotionally may seldom conform to mine. Adjudication is out of the question for this conversation. It may seem hypocritical, for I had integrated a judgemental atmosphere in my former reply. Instead of going face to face with an erroneous verbal quarrel, we can intellectually state our opinions on the subject. This is because our cognitive biases and mindsets may be differing and our ideas need to be further presented to defeat them.

Unknown Thanks for trying to understand, because I’m the end, you did what I wanted: you were nice despite me being salty. Thank you. You are truly kind.

A lot of ignorant statements on here. YES he DID have kids 3. When his best friend asked him awkwardly about it he said with that razor sharp wit "Oh yes.....different system" and they both laughed like hell. His teeth looked different as his condition progressed, as did his voice. In fact he looked completely different, that is what this does. I really believe his sense of humor and brilliance kept him going.

How did his children escape getting ALS? I thought it was genetically passed down biologically?
@clarissamcpigeon78578 жыл бұрын
That's not been confirmed. They believe that juvenile strains are 100% down to genetics and it's quite possible his children will get ALS later in life.

I feel bad for criticising this because it's his daughter talking, but: 1) They never confirmed he actually has ALS - some neurologists today believe he actually doesn't, while others have even suggested that he actually has a weird form of MS 2) He was able to talk in a slurred mumble up until 1985 when he took ill and his vocal chords/voice box were removed following emergency surgery. Up until then he could still "talk" and there were people who could understand and interpret for him

I'm obviously no expert, just a fan of his persona, but I think you're a bit over-correct there. Is it really that important if she gets the first point right? It's way better to focus on Stephen's persona if she abbreviates some points in his story that wouldn't make big of a difference either way. I mean, it might be not confirmed that he has ALS, I again don't know, but it's beside the point to explain that because in this context, it isn't important if it's simply ALS or a derivative of MS. The second point is none of my concern and of course it's important to get your facts straight, but in this example, given the length of her monologue and what she talks about, I think it would be a bit distracting.
@edaj19907 жыл бұрын
Not in the best taste to correct her telling her father's story. Just let it be.
