My world collapsed when I returned from the war, and instead of my cheating wife, I was met by my father who said, "Son, your wife has been unfaithful to you. I saw her with that bastard, and now your son calls him dad. I didn’t want to tell you earlier..." Did those bastards really think that as a battle-hardened officer, I would let this go? Oh no, now they’re in for some very harsh punishment...

Background information: Lewis Burwell "Chesty" Puller (1898-1971) was a United States Marine Corps officer. Beginning his career fighting guerrillas in Haiti and Nicaragua as part of the Banana Wars, he later served with distinction in World War II and the Korean War as a senior officer. By the time of his retirement in 1955, he had reached the rank of lieutenant general.

"John was amazed how well she handled his tools." He definitely was in Vietnam too long. Sounds like the beginning of a wonderful friendship to me. 😂

I loved it! It reminds me of Ft.Leonard Wood Mo. I went to high school there.I met a lot of Soldiers. Some on their way to Nam in 70.I fell in love with one, who was also a mechanic. We had a baby girl. He went to Korea and Nam.Came home and got shot in the back and died at 23. This story reminds me of him, and it made me happy! Bravo to the writers!

Jodie, aka Swagman, got exactly what he had coming to him. Julie's legacy died in the accident along with her cheating a$$. I just LOVE a story with a happy ending. John and Amelia were made for each other.

A Man not satisfied with sitting on his laurels. My Father was the same way. He too was awarded 4.5 million in 1980 and put it in the bank. Retired US Army Sergeant Major.
