Same here. Nicapa, Xenart, and a couple of others that I've used all work just as good. I haven't bought a Cricut mat in years. I only buy Cricut vinyl when it's on sale at a really good price. There are so many other brands that were around before Cricut.

I saw the pin pen tool and wanted one so I took a mechanical pencil that no one uses anymore, took out the lead and replaced it with a hand sewing needle. Best tool I have used so far for weeding.🙂

The. Mats and Blades are my #1 best money savers.I bought one of the weeding tools set but not that brand. They were so narrow that it was hard for me to hold. I have carpal tunnel so having a thicker tool is much easier for me to handle. As far as the little suction cup to put your weeded vinyl. I use one of the littlest containers that come with the big sets of plastic kitchen containers. I cut a slit in the top and it works like magic and I put something to use that would normally would sit in my kitchen cabinet not being used.
@KaylasCricutCreations2 жыл бұрын
I totally agree about the blades & mats being the best $ savors. 😀 I could see how the thin handles would be tough especially with carpal tunnel. I was going to see if one of those pencil grippers might work to add to it but it might be too narrow to stay on. The weeding container sounds perfect!!

You can wash those Nicapa mats the same as Circuit to get the sticky back. Scrub with hot water I use a Big Daddy Sponge and Dawn Detergent stick them in the sink and wash them, strainer to dry.

Definitely looking into those blades! Especially since my cricut ones have been losing their sharpness so quickly! Thank you 😊 for the bearly art glue, I was so excited for it, but my ultra fine tip never cleans well even though I follow the directions of poking the needle in to get the excess glue out 😔

The blades are such a good way to save money! Mine gets dull pretty quickly also! That’s a bummer 😢 do you clean it out with the pen after every use? I’ve found that to be helpful. I’ll have to do some research to see if there’s other ways to clean it.
@hannafelisha2 жыл бұрын
@@KaylasCricutCreations yes I’ve cleaned it out with the pin after every use 😔 bearly arts was really kind and send me a set of free replacements, but unfortunately it happened again lol. I even soaked in warm water. 😔

Thanks for sharing, Kayla! I’m in Canada - do affliate links work if I purchase an item from a company’s Canadian site like Amazon Canada instead of the exact link you share (mainly will you receive appropriately as I would like to ensure you do but would also like to use Canadian ones as it makes shopping/shipping easier for me)?

Is the pin pen easier to use with HTV than the normal hook? I've seen everyone use with vinyl but nobody has said anything about using with HTV.
@KaylasCricutCreations2 жыл бұрын
I find HTV weeds a lot easier than adhesive vinyl so I feel like the regular hook works fine for HTV. Adhesive vinyl can be a little trickier to weed so the pin pen tool helps with that! 😀

I loved this video it was great until the very end when you talked about the glue there’s an awesome blue that you simply must try art glitter glue I know it says glitter in the name but it doesn’t really have anything to do with glitter I’m a long time crafter and it’s the best glue I’ve ever had it doesn’t come off after 10 years it stays stuck it’s on Amazon you can order it from the company and any craft store has it if it’s not sold out I’m really enjoying your videos I make books but I have a cricket that I don’t know how to use very well and I had a stroke three years ago and I don’t have a very good memory so I am enjoying you refreshing my memory on things I used to do Thank you so much do you remember your videos are for beginners
