My favorite, best tire combo

Here’s my favorite and best tire combo for my riding on my fx350 dirt bike. Review of front goldentyre 80/100-21 and the Ve33s rear

I tried the GT216 80/100 for about 20kms and threw it in the bin. You get some turning advantage but it deflects terribly on any roots or hard pack edges. The MX32 pirelli and even a mitas mx 90/90 will absorb way better and still turn well. Going to try the ST Maxxis front too as have been surprised by rear. M59 seemed pretty good on the kato's, but outside knobs aren't super aggressive so i avoid bridgestone in general. Even mx33 is leagues ahead for bump absorbtion than the GT.

Hard to argue with that! I’m a fan of the VE33S for sure. I’ve only done the Shinko version of the front and fatty, which I like most of the time. I also have seen need to go more narrow on the front, so maybe you’re on to something there.

Yeah and there notta bad front tire but I love the razor sharp steering. But with it being narrow it can kick around more

Agree with you 100 percent on rear tire but I have not tried the golden tire im pretty much a m59 guy fot what I ride here in east Tennessee

If you like the m59 you’ll like the Bridgestone x31 even more. I have a video on that tire as well 👍

just had first ride on the 90/90 GT, dig it but think i should have gone 80/100. 90/90 does have insane braking power, lost front end from braking to aggressively. need more time on it. does make the yz250x feel more planted and 4stroke like. normal combo is x31 front ve33s rear. i'll try 80/100 next
